Hi there,
My name is Constance, I’m 23 and I live in the Southside of Glasgow. In June I graduated from Glasgow University with a degree in English Literature and am now working as an artist and looking to work as a nanny alongside this.
I’m outgoing, friendly and reliable. I have 5+ years of experience nannying for children aged 3-16 and have worked as an Au Pair abroad and a nanny in the UK. Over the last year I worked with a family to do school pick-ups, activities and preparing dinner. Over summer I worked full days with the children to keep them entertained and happy during their holidays.
We enjoyed various activities such as baking, crafts, playing games outside and visiting museums and cinemas.
I have Grade 8 in the piano, violin and trumpet so would be happy to help your child with any musical instrument, or if they’re little it’s fun to involve music into play! I’m also able to help with english and maths homework.
My Experience
I have been babysitting for 10 years and have experience with various ages.
I have just moved on from having worked with a family in Glasgow West End for 10 months. I was responsible for school pick-up, getting home on public transport, preparing dinner and getting ready for bed. Over the summer I continued to work for the family to provide longer hours and keep the boys busy and happy during their holiday. We played loads of games, baked great treats, learnt some cooking and hung out with their friends on play dates. I’m happy to share the contact details of the boys’ mother as a reference.
In 2018 I worked for four months as an Au Pair in Shanghai for two boys aged 6 and 8. I absolutely loved building a connection with them and I’m still in contact with them today! I was responsible for getting them up in the morning, making their breakfast and accompanying them to school. I would then pick them up and make sure they completed their homework before taking them to their evening activities. Their schedule was very strict, which taught me the value of hard work but perhaps more importantly the importance of letting off steam in fun and directed play.
I then worked as a summer holiday nanny for two months in Brighton where I looked after two sweet and energetic boys aged 4 and 8. I arrived before they were awake in the morning and left in the early evening as their parents arrived home from work. There were lots of hours to fill every day but I made sure we always had lots of activities to do. The boys always had stories to tell their parents about what we’d got up to in the day!
My Qualifications
I have an honours degree in English Literature from the University of Glasgow.
I achieved AAB in my A Levels.
I have grade 8 distinction on the Violin and Piano (Trinity Guildhall) and merit on the trumpet (ABRSM).
I also have HSK 1 in Mandarin language.
My Availability
I am self-employed as a jeweller and have great flexibility to offer care in the day and/or school pickup.
