hi my name is Sandra and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I have a current paediatric first aid cert, I have an enhanced DBS that is on the update service, and have recently completed safeguarding training and anaphlaxia awareness training amongst others.

I live with my daughter (age 16), kitties and our miniature cockapoo in south Kirkby, I am qualified to Degree level (BA in Early Years). I also hold EYPS (Early Years Professional Status) Early Years Teacher Status equivalent.

I am approved through Wakefield Authority to be able to offer funding for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds (15/30 hours), I am also able to offer the extended offer from 9m for eligible working parents/carers.

I offer a home from home environment and deliver the EYFS through everyday experiences. I have an enclosed garden to the rear and a dedicated playroom.

Throughout my career as an early years professional, I have worked with and supported many families and their young children, my passion is providing a quality service with children at the centre of all that I do. I became a childminder working from home as I know only too well what it can be like juggling work commitments and family life, so understand what pressures parents and carers can feel. I aim to relieve some of these pressures by providing a homely, caring, fun, and safe environment where your most precious little ones can be left whilst you are at work, studying or enjoying a little bit of me time.

I also offer pre school sessions so children can spend a few hours away from their parents/carers in order to help prepare them for nursery/or school and allow them to mix with their peers in a smaller group.

We get out and about weekly and enjoy trips to the park, picnics and visits in and around the local community.
