About Me

I would describe myself as hardworking, conscientious and determined, if given a task I will always complete it to my upmost ability. I will always put my all into any everything I do, be it a piece of written work or at work working alongside children and colleagues. I am very friendly to everyone that I come across although I know the line between being friendly and being professional. I am a team player and will always perform at my very best although; I can work independently if given a specific task that needs to be completed by myself.

I always knew that I wanted to work with children; I have watched my sisters and my cousins grow up and throughout their early years have consistently encouraged them to push themselves. I truly value the sense of achievement in teaching children new skills, which they will be able to use in later life. I would love to continue impacting on children’s lives and this is the main reason I would like to go on to study education.

Watching children learn through play and seeing how much they can develop and acquire new skills in such short amounts of time fills me with such pride. Since working at my placement I have revelled in the joy of seeing children be proud of their own achievements. On a daily basis I am encouraging children to learn more than they did the previous day. This gives me motivation as each day brings new experiences, not just for myself but for the children also, I learn as much from the children as they do from myself.
