About Me
My name is Tracy and I live in Rochester with my family. I consider myself to be kind, considerate and trustworthy with a natural ability to work with children, always providing a safe and friendly environment. In my spare time I like to take part in arts and crafts, walking, and spending time with my family and friends. I love the outdoors which I see as being of great benefit for children.
My Experience
I have 25+ years experience as a childcare provider, nursery assistant, live in/out nanny, and play centre assistant. I have also worked as a home-carer, and a hospice assistant supporting patients and their children.
My duties as a childminder are to provide care for children from 4 months to pre-school age. I prepare healthy snacks and meals, provide the children with stimulating, educational activities and toys, and assist with personal care for babies and toddlers.
I will take the children out to the park, pop-in groups, messy play, libraries, the seaside, and other places of interest. I provide parents with regular diaries, share concerns, provide advice on sleeping, feeding and potty training, and ways of dealing with any problems which arise. I follow the EYFS guidelines as well.
My experience as a childminder is very similar to working as a nursery and play centre assistant, but in a different setting.
As a child care provider I have cared for many children including families with twins. I prepare meals and snacks, devise stimulating educational activities, taking children out to places of interest, and help with homework. I also help with bath time and getting children ready for home time, and sharing information about the children with the parent/s.
I very much enjoy working with children and would like to continue this as my chosen career. I can provide you with very good references, a full CV, and certificates which I have gained relevant to childcare

Pro-vocational education for services to people (including health and childcare development)
Paediatric first aid
Food and hygiene (level 5)
CRB checked (Enhanced DBS)
Relevant qualifications for childminding (policies and procedures, safeguarding, two year progress check, and knowledge of EYFS)
