About Me
Hello! I’m Alice i am Mum to Olive my 10 year old daughter who you would be looking after. I also have a son Ivar who is 13 but pretty much does his own thing now!
We live right in the centre of Lewes so very close to town, The Depot, The Grange, Priory Park and the shops. We have a whippet Finn as well so must like dogs!
I own and run my own business so I do have degree of flexibility but being a single parent I need help with childcare and light household chores. Olive is currently only at school for the mornings, she finishes at 1pm everyday so will require being picked up at that time. Olive has ADHD and has PDA which essentially means she finds direct demands very difficult and needs a lot of freedom to express herself. She has a fantastic sense of humour, she loves gymnastics and swimming and is very sporty. She can get tired so there are lots of afternoons of quiet TV time or just hang out with her in her bedroom probably putting on makeup and playing with hairstyles which she can do for HOURS!!
My Requirements
I can be flexible for example I would be happy to discuss this position as a 5 day a week, 4 or 3 days a week contract. I am looking for a nurturing, creative, patient individual to look after Olive Monday - Friday ideally but flexible, from 1pm-5pm with once a week babysitting until 11pm if possible but not essential.
This will include getting the kids dinner ready, doing some light housework (unloading the dishwasher and clearing up the kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom occasional).
There will be ad-hoc hours here and there too for example when it’s half terms and summer holidays I will need extra help.
My kids are great fun, outgoing, creative and are very warm, kind and loving. They are typical siblings though so except love and frustration with each other to come in equal measure! But as I say this role is to predominantly care and build a relationship with Olive, she would love a big sister type carer.
