My Experience

I worked in a nursery from September 2016 to September 2018. where we care for children aged from 3 months to 4 years. In this setting I primarily caring for babies aged from 3 months to 2 years and I was a key worker for a child who has cerebral palsy.

For 3 years I provided holiday care for 2 children who were 2 and 4 when I started in 2015. It was a part time sole charge position whilst their Mum works, we enjoyed days out, doing art and craft activities, baking and lots of picnics. They also had a dog who we take out with us.

I also babysat on a regular basis for 3 families, for children who were aged from 1 to 14 years old.

I volunteered as a helper at my local Rainbows Group for 5 years. I was involved in the planning and implementing of the activities, ensuring that they are accessible to all of the children in the group.

I was working as a full time nanny in France for an English speaking family as I unfortunately don’t speak French. I had been with that family since October 2018 when I start the children where 3 and 5 years old. My responsibility included:
. Waking up and dressing the children
.Making and serving breakfast for the children
. Dropping off and pick up the children from school and nursery
. I would reheat meals for there dinner. (that there mum would have prepared the night before)
. I also showered and got the children ready for bed.
I also would babysit in the Evening for the children on a regular basis. The mum also travels for work so I would look after them for up to 3 days at a time. I also would take them to tennis club and swimming every week. In the holidays they enjoyed going to the park, baking, do puzzles, playing board games and doing art and crafts. On my return from France several of the families who I had previously been employed by for holiday care and occasional childcare asked if I could do this again. I have continued to do this whilst holding down the posts below. I work mainly for two families with children aged between 8 and 13 years.
September 2019
I was looking after an 18 month old girl for 3 mornings a week. Maintaining her usual routine and ensuring that she was happy and safe. This post ended when her Mum began her maternity leave in November.
Alongside the above job I have been looking after 4 children, aged 5 years, 4 years, 20 months and 8 months old. I have sole charge of all the children during school holidays and the younger two for the rest of the time. I absolutely love being able to teach through play and was thrilled when the youngest child’s first words were ‘Row, Row’ from the song Row, Row, Row Your Boat!

My Availability

I am available every day all year round

My Fees

• Nannying from £8.00 per hour (gross)

As a Nanny my fees would be between £8 and £10 per hour depending on how many children there are. I am willing to negotiate a price that is comfortable for the right family.
As an occasional evening babysitter my fees are £7per hour before midnight and £8 after.
