My Requirements

We are looking for two different things - childcare help and private tuition.

Childcare help:

We require help on Friday afternoons from 1.30pm until 6 or 7pm. Our three children go to Skylarks Montessori near Ashburton and we need someone to collect them and look after them for the afternoon. The twins are in the nursery which finishes at 1.30pm and our daughter is in the school which finishes at 3.15pm.

Private tuition:

We homeschool our daughter and intend to do the same with our boys when they reach official school age. Our daughter currently attends Skylarks Montessori on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and the rest of the time is focused on homeschooling. She is extremely bright, positive and inquisitive and has a keen interest in languages and is developing an interest in science.

The best day to do this would on Monday.

Language Tutor:
We would be interested to identify someone who could help her to learn, French and Spanish (she already knows a bit and enjoys it). We would be interested in helping her to learn German and Portuguese :-) !

Science and Maths:
We would also be interested to hear about a tutor for science and maths when can help us to develop her knowledge in these areas. She is starting to show an interest in how things work and would love practical experiments.




Being Montessori qualified or well versed and experienced in the teaching methods and principles would be advantageous.

The Family:

My wife and I run our own successful online business, partly from home and partly from our office in Ashburton. We have chosen to be in South Devon because we enjoy being outdoors in nature, by the sea and close to beautiful countryside. As a family, we love to travel, play, read books, go for walks and run around outside and have been educating our daughter, partly in a fun, engaging and sociable manner and partly via more conventional methods - books, pencil and paper :) sat at a desk.

It’s our desire and intention to home educate our children, so the successful candidate will play an important role in helping to develop a fun learning environment and introduce creative and fun activities together with structured learning methods. Someone who was, therefore, looking for, and interested in, a longer term engagement would be preferred.
