About Me
Hi, I’m Chloe. I am a friendly, caring and compassionate woman who loves children and I have been very lucky in having a career working with them for over 7 years . I am a well established nanny and childcare provider with over 7 years worth of experience, 3 of these as a KS1 and KS2 Teaching Assistant. Recently I have gained experience in KS3 and 4.
I have an NVQ in Teaching in Primary Schools as well as many childcare qualifications and certificates, which I have been continuously working on and updating. I also have 5 years worth of clear DBS checks, the most recent done September 2022. I will provide many excellent references from all previous employers.
From from 2015 I trained in a busy Exeter nursery, and from 2017 - 2020 I was a full time nanny and from January 2020 qualified as a SEN teaching assistant in a large primary school. In September 2022 I started in another local primary school but am now hoping to go back to nannying/tutoring.
Connections and good relationships are very important to me when working with families and young people. I make multiple trips a year to visit the family I nannied for, we have been on holiday together and are big parts of eachothers lives. I am originally from Exeter, and know the city very well. I live in Cranbrook with my partner and our dog.
My Experience
I started my childcare career in a busy city centre nursery with ages newborn to 4, I have been a full time Nanny for 3 lovely multiple children families, including exclusively French speaking twins so I am able to speak a little French and understand a lot. In January 2020 i started my new role as a qualified primary school teaching assistant for children with SEN. I have been lucky enough to have worked in three Exeter primary schools. As of November 2023 I took the leap to start working in a secondary school as a Mental Health Mentor.
I try to practice a ‘gentle parenting’ style as it works well in the classroom and at home.
My Qualifications
I have many GCSE qualifications and A - Levels which can be seen on request. I have a FLOW food and heigene certificate, a child safeguarding certificate from Devon Country Council, I am a trained first aider and I also have a clear CRB and DBS check which is have updated many times. I am a qualified primary school teaching assistant.
