My Summary

My Experience

I specialise in teaching children through play opportunities and sports and have a wealth of experience (20+) with children aged from 5-11 years of age. This includes 10+years of working in private households. I have worked as a Manager for a number of out of school clubs in England and have also managed and run a Seasonal Holiday club business - which also included a Football coaching, birthday parties and a wedding crèche provision for a number of families. I have also worked as a Sports Coach and I’ve achieved a Level 1 Football Coaching certificate. Most recently, I've enjoyed the experiences of private household work abroad, in London as a Manny/PA and also an International English Tutor in Spain and Italy.

I am passionate about childcare and love to be involved in supervising and organising play opportunities. At the same time however, I value and respect children's independence in play, allowing them to take a lead and a 'child-centred' approach to their learning, whilst over-looking and still being available at all times for them (Note: I am NOT a person who would look at their phone whilst caring for your child). I love the challenge of taking on responsibilities for children I care for, proxy parenting, organising, driving, cooking or teaching. I am confident and capable with children, proactive in my role and always eager to learn.

I'm reliable, very patient and a funny guy – I enjoying making children smile and laugh, but at the same time able to focus children on any given tasks (i.e. homework and bedtime routines). I'm extremely tidy, super organised (slightly OCD - which is a huge advantage to any family who want tidy and organised cupboards) and able to complete any tasks required throughout the day if needed, without having to be micro-managed. I can cook healthy and well balanced meals, drive safely (including abroad), keep the household clean and tidy (including any cover work in case the cleaner is off), would love to travel with the family and additionally I can be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the family. Most of all, my ability in childcare, to communicate, engage and teach is exemplary. I have many references from childcare positions and families with whom I have worked for, including recent employers.

I am available for FaceTime or face to face interviews. I would also be happy to have a work-trial with any potential family. I have many excellent references available, as well as a clean driving licence, Paediatric First Aid (May 2025) Certificate and a clear, recent DBS certificate (March 2025). Additionally, I hold a EU Passport (Cyprus).

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
