Hello,
I am a local Wetherby resident who has worked in the child care industry for over 18yrs now. I have a current and clear CRB, full driving licence and first aid certified. Having worked with children of all ages (0-17yrs) around the world in a variety of roles, I consider myself to be very experienced in the care and responsibilities involved when looking after children.
I currently work for the Local Authority as an Early Years Officer where I offer education advice, mentoring and training to early years settings (in school) across the city.

My Experience
I am 8yrs qualified as a fully trained primary school teacher, specialising in early years education up to age 7yrs. I trained rigorously on the job during at Bramhope Primary School whilst studying at Leeds Beckett University for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Throughout my training year and beyond I have gained a wealth of experience in all settings and backgrounds across Leeds and Bradford. Inclusive of local authority and academy schools. Roundhay School Primary Campus, to name one.
Prior to gained QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), I worked as a houseparent in an international boarding school in York, where I lived in with the children and act in parental loco for 106 girls.
I have previously volunteered at St Chad's primary school in Headingly helping out with their morning club, looking after the children and serving them breakfast. As well as this I volunteered in a baby orphanage and a primary school in Uganda for 10 weeks. I have worked in America for 2 summer internships with children ages 5-17years at a prestigious all girls summer camp (Camp Rim Rock) in West Virginia (2008 and 2011).
I have babysat in the past for a work colleague and friends but the children have grown up now and attend high school. Most recently I babysit for my neice (18 months) and newphew (3yrs).
