About Me
Hi! My name is Zenaib Amouzou but you can call me Zee. I am a qualified primary teacher who graduated at Strathclyde University with a Bachelors Degree in 2018. Since graduating, I have completed a full year in a lovely and busy Primary 2 class where I spent a large focus on mindfulness and handling emotions while teaching the curriculum subjects. I pride myself on my relationships with my pupils and have always been given great feedback from both school staff and parents. I strongly believe in treating children the way I wanted all teachers to speak to me; with respect, interest and patience.
I am always responsible when it comes to anyone else’s children and their health and safety is a subconscious focus I will always maintain. In saying this, I have a very childish side as life shouldn’t be too serious. I enjoy playing games from rounders to Minecraft. I love a good Disney movie - especially the singalongs - and am also a Marvel fan. I love going for nature walks in new places and am a traveller. I love learning or being exposed to new things and am always willing to ‘give it a go’.
I have a full UK license and have been driving for over ten years and have no points on my record.
My Experience
I have been volunteering in primary schools since the age of 16 and achieved a NC in Early education at college during my final year of high school. I spent 4 years at Strathclyde University where I achieved my Bachelors Degree in Primary Education. My time in university gave me the opportunity to work in ASN schools, nurseries, both upper and lower primary schools around South Lanarkshire, as well as the chance to travel to China to exchange educational information with Chinese schools and nurseries.
After my probation year, I travelled to Italy to Au Pair for a lovely Italian family with twins, aged 5. My duties included getting the children ready in the morning to take them to school, common household duties during the day/ college to learn Italian once a week, picking the children up from school and take them to their clubs or back home to fix up a snack, 2 hour English session with the twins before getting them both showered and ready for dinner. I sadly had to leave this position earlier than expected due to COVID.
Since then, I had been working for an amazing family for nearly 2 years. There were 4 children, ages ranging from 3 to 10 years old. My duties included waking children up for school and preparing school bags / snacks, school drop off/ pick up, homework, club runs, preparing meals, bath times, general household chores and entertaining children on holidays.
I am currently registered as self employed and would be looking for a full time family or possibly several part time permitting they can fit within my schedule.
