About Me

Hello, my names Sophie. I am a graduate in Early Years and education studies from Nottingham Trent university.

I currently work full time at a school and provide tutoring and nannying/babysitting services in the evenings and holiday periods.

**** Current availability for nannying and tutoring in the February Half term holiday from 10th February onwards****

My tutoring services provide a focus in phonics, English and Maths. I have a certificate in a training programme called ‘Catch up Maths’ this highly valuable training enables me to asses a child’s maths age and helps identify and address any gaps in their learning.

I have worked with children ranging in ages 4mnths - 12yrs.

My Experience

I am currently a reception learning support teacher.

Prior to this I have worked as an early years teacher in a nursery supporting and preparing pre-school children for the transition to primary school.

I have also worked as a nanny in a ski resort in the French alps. This involved providing in chalet childcare to children ranging in ages from 4 months - 12 years, and providing engaging indoor and outdoor activities. This fantastic experience has developed many skills from risk assessing to managing group activities, to working with all ages of children and adapting activities to meet the needs of all children.

I have also worked as a learning assistant in schools around Nottingham supporting children’s development and learning including children learning English as a second language.

My Qualifications

I have a BA (hons) degree in Early Years and Education studies

My Availability

Availability may occasionally change, but advanced notice would be given.

Please note: During term time my availability is during the evenings and weekends however I have full week day availability in the school holidays
