Employment History
(in the past few years I have been training and gained Qualified Teacher Status and taken some time out to have a baby)

February 2019 – July 2020
Live out, part time, sole charge

For this family I have been looking after two sisters of 4 years and 9 months. It has been so enjoyable to see both girls and their relationship blossom over the year. The youngest and me would travel to pick up her sister from school; we would then stop off at the park or grocery store and head home for dinner. This family is vegetarian so I loved cooking up healthy fresh food that was suitable for both ages of children. We did lots of create play, dress up and sensory activities always with so much laughter. I also taught some mini dance lessons! I take care of all the children’s laundry and help to tidy in a busy household.

June 2017 - June 2018
Live out, part time, sole charge

This was a lovely job with such an adorable little boy, always smiling and excited. During my time with him I helped encourage all the big milestones, crawling, walking, first words. I taught him to use some baby sign language to aid his communication. We would do lots of trips to the park, baby rhyme time, libraries and museums. He loved learning about how things worked, especially wheels and doors! I introduced lots of new foods and varied his diet greatly, we also worked on improving his social skills.

Feb. 2014 – Aug. 2014
Live out, part time, sole charge

This was only ever going to be a short term position but in the 6 months I stayed with this family I created an amazing bond with mum, dad and the wonderful 18 month old little girl. We would go on many outings around London, various parks, museums, the zoo and aquarium. This little girl and me had such fun together and I still see her regularly. Together we overcame her irrational fear of sand! And now she loves nothing more than building sandcastles! And her confidence and speech improved tremendously. She was never a fussy eater so I really pushed the boat out and tried lots of new delicious flavours and fresh vegetables.

Sept. 2011 – Feb. 2014
Live out, full time, sole charge

I started when this little girl was 11 months old she was always a very happy, smiley child with great communication skills from a young age. I created a strong and loving bond very early on with her and it has been a great pleasure to see this bond grow over time.

A typical day would start with a healthy, nutritious breakfast for example porridge, cereals, eggs or toast. We would always whisk the eggs together and count down from five, trying to be at zero for when the toast popped!
I would usually plan an educational and fun morning activity, trip to a museum, music class, gym class or to the park. This little girl loved to communicate and every outing became an opportunity for her to explore and talk about the world around her, constantly learning new words. As she became older we would say the colour of the cars that drove past and count the number of big red buses we saw. A trip to the park would often become a nature hunt, looking for insects and birds and we would collect leaves to take back to the house and draw. Lunch would either be a picnic in the park or we would return to the house.
During nap time I would; tidy up, perform laundry, prepare healthy batch meals full of vegetables for example, lasagne, green vegetable and salmon pasta sauce, cottage pie, chicken burgers, lentil soup.
We would always go out in the afternoon, to the library, dance class or to a play date continuously giving opportunities to learn and have fun at the same time. I would also pick up any food required or run any necessary errands.
Then home for a warm dinner including yogurt with home made fruit sauce and plenty of fresh fruit.
Whilst with this family I organised nap times and nap time routines, introduced many new foods into her diet, successfully potty trained and held mini dance classes which were always lots of fun! Whilst i was with the family a newborn sister arrived and I looked after her in a mothers help role.

Nov. 2010 - Nov. 2011
Live out, sole charge, nanny share

This was a highly enjoyable over seas job. When I started I was looking after two little girls, from separate families, both of 18 months and then a few months later an additional sister was born!
The two girls were a delight to look after; it was so fun as they had very different personalities so each would have an almost opposite opinion on everything! One was very confident and physical, always wanting to run about, jump in muddy puddles and get dirty. Whilst the other was more quiet and subdued, she loved snuggling up on the sofa reading stories and making pretend houses.
I would often look after both girls together so they became good friends and still see each other now.
On rainy days we would always perform an indoor activity such as painting, play dough, baking and decorating cakes as a special treat for after dinner or making pasta necklaces for mummy and daddy.
I also looked after the newborn, doing changes, bottle feeding and creating a daytime routine.

I also worked for a shorter period of time as a mothers help/part time nanny to two beautiful twin girls of 6 months.

Feb. 2011- Sept. 2011

During this time I had two more nanny jobs in London. One was part time, live out, sole charge for a boy of four years and his newborn brother and the other was for a little boy of six months.
