About Me
We are a family of four (two kids aged 10 & 8) and are looking for a full time live-in housekeeper/nanny to join our family in Ealing. The role will be a 70:30 split between housekeeping & nannying as our kids are now old enough to be self sufficient! We are warm & easy going and will treat you as a member of the family - our last two live-in housekeeper/nannies were each with us for 5 & 6 years respectively, which demonstrates our excellent relationships with them.
My husband and I both work - he, long hours, and me, ad hoc days during the week, which is why we are looking for full time live in help. You will rarely have sole charge of the children though, as we are often working from home.
We don't believe in micro managing and have always allowed our housekeepers to manage their own day - so if the housework is done, they are free to have extended lunch/breaks etc. We don't believe in logging time worked either, for eg, if our previous housekeepers have worked less than their contracted hours in the week, we have never asked for time back. This is a two way street though, and we would like to work with someone who has the same attitude as us - ie, muck in when necessary (eg - when we have guests etc) and take it easy when it's quiet.
My Requirements
Role requirements:
- English speaking
- 730am-730pm with occasional babysitting during the week due to extended work commitments
- To look after the house & cook meals for the family while the children are at school
- Help with occasional school runs & activities in the afternoons.
- A driver would be nice, and we have a car available, but not essential, as most of the children's activities are within walking distance.
- UK passport preferable, long term right to stay and work in the uk essential
- Non smoker
We live in a large house and our nanny/housekeeper will have her own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen on a separate floor to the family with wifi included.
