Hiya! My name is Rachel, I'm 24 years old and I graduated as a qualified primary school teacher at Liverpool John Moores in 2018 and have been doing substitute teaching and tutoring since. I love working with children of all ages. It's my biggest passion in life!
I am a christian, I love singing, playing badminton, baking and seeing the world! I’m generally a really bubbly, happy person and always have a smile on my face!
I can cook nutritious and exciting meals and definitely help with homework, I can also help with phonics for those in key stage 1 as well as teach new skills, for example I'm not fluent but have a very good knowledge of french, (I can also tutor your child in maths/English for an extra cost if you would like). I'm also creative and will always be able to think of good activities to do with your child/children to keep them entertained such as crafts, sports, different games or take them to fun places like the cinema or the park.
Come September I will probably continue to do some supply teaching in the local primary schools, but I would definitely still continue to do babysitting or be a nanny!
My Experience
I am a recently qualified teacher, therefore I have a lot of experience with children. I have completed 2 years of substitute teaching which included a month in a P5 class, had multiple placements in schools in Liverpool with a variety of classes, which was amazing! I also have extension experience with children with SEND needs and English as an additional language children.
Before I moved to Liverpool for uni, I was a brownie guide leader for 10 years. I also have volunteered in kids clubs, youth clubs and spent 9 weeks of my summer as well as 2 Easters, volunteering as a leader at international youth weeks (14-18) and family weeks/single parent weeks and I worked with the 5-10 year olds.
If you wish for me to work for you, I would love to meet you and your child prior to the work for safety reasons as well as you being able to see that you will have made the right choice in choosing me.
