About Me

***Currently looking childcare(Monday-Wednesday) for February 2022 for 10 month old baby and school pick up for 4 year old***

My name is Gráinne and I have recently moved back to Liverpool after working as a Primary School Teacher and Middle Leader in a Birmingham school.
With over 8 years teaching experience as well as working as a teaching assistant prior to attending university, I hold many skills and qualifications to enhance child development right across the Primary phase.
I have worked as a Primary Tutor alongside my full time teaching role for over 6 years, working with a variety of learners and their families. I can offer 1:1 tuition in many Primary and EYFS areas of the curriculum, specifically English and Maths. I offer personalised learning plans for each child with clear target setting. I review these personalised plans regularly with both the child and parents to ensure, progress is evident and celebrated by everyone working together.
On more recent years, I have also worked with children and young people who have faced emotional barriers in reaching their true potential through coaching, resilience learning and mindfulness. I am a keen advocate of promoting healthy forms of learning and have had the privilege of supporting children and young people in achieving their dreams.
I have also worked as an Aú Pair during the summer months, for various families in Madrid and Barcelona. I have looked after children from as young as 3 months to active teenagers with busy schedules. During my time with these families, I also home- schooled primary aged children and played a big part in their bilingual status. Some of the children I have cared for, have gone on to study English further and are attending University to gain a language specialist career.
My kind and positive nature has always allowed me to build fantastic relationships with both the children and families that I have worked with and I have a wide selection of very reliable references, that can be provided.
