About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder.
I am married, a mother of three and live in Dunstable.
Nat's House - Childminding Services has a open free flow childminding area. We offer free flowing all-day indoor and outdoor play and we have a 180ft garden with areas for the children to grow their own fruit and vegetables.
We are lucky to have a dedicated assistant, Ashleigh, to support our play, learning and who loves adventures too!
At our setting, the Early Years Foundation Stage is at the heart of everything we do. Rather than teaching it separately, we embed the EYFS naturally into our weekly topics, child-led interests, play experiences and daily routines.
We have weekly topics, these provide a flexible structure that allows the children to learn through play, exploration and hands-on experiences; Activities are carefully planned to support not only the seven areas of learning but support each individual child also.
The seven areas are made up of 3 prime areas - Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and 4 Specific Areas - Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding Of The World and Expressive Arts and Design.
Our observations of the children allow us to plan next steps for individual children, ensuring learning is meaningful. We also have child-led activities, these are important as they support how children naturally learn and develop, for us this allows us to understand what the children know and can do, then extend learning through gentle support or questioning. Child-led permits children to follow their own interests, it encourages confidence, independence, allows for deeper learning, communication and social skills.
Nat's House provides all the fun and activities whether at home or out on adventures. We have lots of learning experiences, both indoors and outdoors. We love to be outside and exploring our beautiful natural world.
We believe that each child is an individual that should have their passion supported wherever we are. Providing a home from home environment that nurtures the growth and development of all the children, working with their families, so that every child is nurtured throughout their early years.
