About Me
My name is Sophie Higgins I live with my husband and our 3 children aged 7, 9 and 11.
I offer flexible childcare and can offer wrap around care for Lindens Primary School nursery. I offer before and after school drop off/ pick up from Lindens Primary School. We live within walking distance of the school.
I love working with the children and watching them grow and develop in my setting.
I look forward to welcoming children into our loving family home. I have plenty of indoor and outdoor space for the children and I am within walking distance of Lindens.
We fill our days with a mixture of indoor and outdoor play, singing, dancing, arts and crafts and many more fun activities.
I like to build up a good relationship with all parents and keep you updated with your child’s development and also keep you updated daily with all the fun things we get up to. I understand that you are leaving your most treasured possession with me and I fully commit to taking the best care possible of your child.
We have 2 family dogs. Scamp is a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel and Nelly is our 1 year old Cavapoo. They have lived with us since they were both 8 weeks old and so have both been bought up around lots of children and are very friendly.

My Experience
I have been Ofsted registered since December 2015. In my most recent inspection I achieved a Good rating.
I have 3 young children so as-well as being Ofsted registered and completing all of the required training, first and foremost I think my most valuable experience is being a Mother myself. I understand all the worries and concerns parents may have when leaving your children to go to work and feel that I can offer and loving and safe environment for your children.

My Availability
I offer part time childcare from 7.30 am until 4.30pm. I generally work term time only but can offer holiday care for children as and when requested. I do school drop off and pick up from Lindens Primary School and can also offer wrap around care for Lindens Nursery. I currently have space available. I can offer funded places to children who meet the requirements.

Sophie has basically been a second mum to my two girls. She has looked after them both from newborn and cared for them like they are her own. Sophie is friendly, smiley and approachable. I’ll always remember the first time I met Sophie as I instantly warmed to her and so did the girls - I knew straight away she was exactly the right person to care for them whilst I worked.
She always provided me with regulars updates whilst I was working, and also kept the girls busy doing lots of fun activities.
Sophie is great and still has an excellent relationship with the girls even though they have started school.

Sophie is so lovely with my little boy. He is almost 1 years old. She does activities with him during the day like painting and sends me photos so I feel reassured he’s fine during the day. She has a lovely family home with two friendly dogs. All I want is for my baby to be loved and safe and she certainly does that. When I leave him I know she would treat him like her own. Aswell as that she is a lovely person in herself and always has a chat with me during my drop off / pick ups letting me know how the day has gone or asking if he needs any breakfast or have I fed him already etc. She is worth her weight in gold.
