We have known Tabitha since February 2017, when she came to look after our two boys (aged now 3 years and 17 months) at the weekend while we were doing up a house in Bath, and from the outset we were really impressed by her maturity and capability - she made sole charge of our two children look like a walk in the park from day one! In fact we were so impressed that between February and June we regularly asked her up for the weekend to stay with us in London and help us with the boys.

Tabitha is everything you could ask for in a nanny: imaginative, enthusiastic, caring, trustworthy, responsible, disciplined, thoughtful and very experienced....and I could go on. She has a cheeky sense of humour, and has established a wonderful, easy relationship with our boys. She also has an amazing initiative, and often pre-empts our needs for our children, making our own time with them easier for having her around.

Tabitha has worked as a live in nanny for us in London since the beginning of June and also accompanied us on holiday to Corfu for 10 days. She is not only a wonderful nanny and a responsible carer who our children adore, but she has also been a pleasure to live with, and relaxed, fun company for us to have around of an evening.

Her responsibilities while with us have been sole charge of the two boys, and she has done everything with them from planning activities, outings and playdates to helping us successfully potty train our oldest son. She has taken our children to the doctors when required, and even done solo bath and bedtime on a few occasions when we were out. She thinks ahead during her time off and prepares, so that she knows what they will do together during the day, and what they'll eat in the evening. She plans and cooks healthy meals, and often gets the children involved in the cooking so that they appreciate their food more. To give you an idea, when she came to live with us at the beginning of June she inherited a fussy three year old who would turn his nose up at a Margherita pizza. She has left us with a little boy who enjoys healthy food and will willingly eat his greens!

Tabitha has taken on a huge extra responsibility while with us. Our oldest son has a permanent physical disability, and while with us she has not only carried a burden of his physiotherapy and been very strict with his routine, but been particularly sensitive to his differences, planning activities that would give him as much independence as possible, and avoiding those where he would get frustrated. She has done all of this while managing a very active toddler and sticking to his nap schedule.

To top it all off we have witnessed first hand her ability to cope under extreme pressure, when our youngest son suffered a nasty febrile convulsion on a remote beach in Corfu and had to be rushed into hospital by ambulance. Despite knowing what to do in this situation, having recently completed her paediatric first aid, she made the difficult but mature decision to take our three year old son straight out of the way of the drama, and keep him calm and distracted while we and an entire restaurant tended to our toddler. She then navigated my husband to the hospital after the ambulance, and only when we were safely reunited as a family and all was well did she take five minutes for herself to process what had just happened. We cannot thank her enough.

Apparently she's rather keen to finish her degree at Norland, we can't think why!! Not that it's stopped us from trying to persuade her to stay with us in London...

Any family would be extremely lucky to have Tabitha as a nanny or babysitter. She is quite simply wonderful.
