About Me
Hi, I am a single mother of 3 boys. My two elder boys are 12 and 11 and on the autistic spectrum. My youngest to a different father is also showing signs. I have always had difficulties with my elder kids dad and the kids constantly not wanting to go. My eldest goes now but his brother doesn't want to. My youngest isn't allowed to see his dad through domestic violence. My mum is terminally ill, my dad lives away and it's all complicated as I was in care, alot of unresolved issues. I have one friend who occasionally looks after my youngest if my second to eldest boy goes to his friends while my eldest is at his dad's. This is extremely rare, I am trying to get back into work and into uni but am constantly faced with problems and no break. I help a couple of friends too and yet again have to move house in the next few months. I have asked for respite but without a diagnosis for my youngest they won't take him only my elder two. I really need to find some time for myself but struggle leaving my children with people I don't know. I'd love to get to know someone, use the same person and build a bond which I believe is best all around. I'd love an evening every month maybe occasionally a weekend get away for my youngest maybe my 11 year old sometimes if he can't go to his friends. My boys maybe in the spectrum but they are usually well behaved the issues lie with my elder two when left together but as it is he would be at his dad's.
My Requirements
This would be mainly regarding my youngest Ethan who is 2, he will be 3 in April. He has been out of his pram since 17 months and is very active. He has never had a dummy and doesn't tend to chew things. He has been out of nappies for a while but seems to go up and down and I think part of this is my hetic lifestyle and changes that occur. He does go to nursery 3 days a week Tues Thurs and Fri 8 am until 1 pm but this time is usually taken up running errands doing things for my mum ringing for houses ect. Ethan has been a little behind on his speech but he is picking it up alot more now, his understanding is amazing and has known road safety and traffic lights for some time now. He has a huge love for animals even telling pigeons to wait and calling them cute. Ethan can have obsessive behaviours which do change such as he would have me lift him up to every lampost to touch the signs and be upset if I didn't do so. He will build with the purpose of knocking the build down. He does flap his arms around and me and his brothers have been learning him different actions and gestures he can do. He can get upset when he can't communicate but this is getting easier now. I would require an evening once a month possibly an overnight stay, this wouldnt be weekly as I really don't think I could afford that and don't want to be asking my second eldest son to stop out too much. It would be a Friday or Saturday within the month. I'd like to do this for a while in hopes of building a good relationship and then maybe look into more when things have settled down. I do have a trip to Manchester on 29th March. Milton Keynes on 4th August and Amsterdam booked on the 6th December this year I would be needing overnight stays for those 3. I think I may need after school until Saturday evening for the Amsterdam one but there is abit more time to plan that. Thankyou very much for your time.
