My name is Nicky Webb, I am 45 years old. I am a fully qualified teacher (BA Hons) with a wide range of childcare experience across all key stages, early years and SEND. I live in the centre of Leigh on Sea on Pall Mall, close to the Community Centre, with my daughter, Flori who is ten years old and my husband Simon.
As an early years practitioner and also on a personal level I am calm natured and kind. I am honest, trust-worthy, reliable and hard working. I am extremely reliable and by working from home can be as flexible as needed.
My service specialises in tutoring children within either their own home or mine, whatever each family feels will best suit the needs of their child. I can support children needing extra support and those who are home educated.
I aim to support and meet the needs of all children, working on a one to one basis so teaching and learning is personalised and best suited to the needs and interests of your child.
Tutoring is offered on an hourly basis by prior arrangement only, with sessions bookable a month in advance. Families looking for a longer, regular teaching slot i.e those who are home educated, longer sessions can be arranged on a half termly basis.

My Experience
I qualified as a nursery nurse in 1998 and have worked in several early years settings including day nurseries, baby sitting, nannying, and then in nursery schools within a school setting. I was lucky enough to be able to return to university later in life where I trained as a teacher, specialising in the early years. Since then I have worked as a nursery teacher at a nursery school in Essex before moving onto an inner London nursery school in westminster.
Following the birth of my daughter I decided to take the plunge and set up my own Childcare provision, working from home, registering as a childminder in 2017.
I returned to teaching in 2021. I work two days a week at primary school in Hockley, working with the reception class. I teach a class of thirty with a class LSA and support the learning and development of all the children in my care, including those who speak English as an additional language and special educational needs.
My whole career has involved different elements of Childcare but over the years my own practice and working ethos has always remained the same, insuring a quality provision which is a safe, nurturing, positive and stimulating environment where children can thrive, develop and grow. My in-depth knowledge of child development and teaching is key in ensuring each child achieves to their full potential in a fun and practical way.
I have developed positive working relationships with all the families I have had the privilege of working with, all of whom are more than happy to provide both a written and verbal reference if required.
My Qualifications
I completed a Safeguarding course (2020) and hold a full paediatric first aid certificate (2020). My DBS checks are complete. I studied at university full time completing my degree in Primary initial teacher training with early years (first class honours) in 2009. My passion for Childcare and education began in 1998 when I left school and qualified as a nursery nurse completing my NNEB diploma in nursery nursing.
My Availability
I generally operate my services between 8.45am and 5.30pm Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I will consider extending this to accommodate slightly earlier and/or slightly later times by agreement only. I do not offer a service at weekends or on public holidays and I am not able to offer overnight care.
