About Me

About us:
We are looking for someone with experience caring for 2 young children (7yrs and 4yrs old), responsible, independent, patient and full of energy who love spending time with kids outside and playing!

We are a French/Scottish couple and we have been living in London for 15years now. We both work in the City (with some working from home one to two days a week)

We want however someone who speak French or English to Charlie and Scarlett. They are both very confortable speaking in french or English.

We have a little cat too, so you would need to be comfortable with animals!

Our little Charlie who turned 7years old in March is a very happy little boy, loves football and rugby and drawing!
Scarlett his younger sister is turning 5 year old in June and is a very happy little girl, chatty and she loves exploring everything around her, dancing and drama, very curious and loves cuddles!

We would like ideally to welcome you from September (and if possible we could welcome you for a few trial day and hand over with our current nanny before the summer) to look after the kids on fixed hours morning (2h) and afternoons 5days a week.

We already had the pleasure to welcome 5 au pairs / nannies at home (you can contact them if you wish for reference) and we found it always works very well. The kids loves it and feel very confortable.

Indicative Hours:
Monday-Tuesday-Thursday-Friday: 7am to 9am - 3pm to 7:30pm
Wednesday: 7am to 9am - 12pm to 7:30pm
Additional time (5h) for cooking for the children and general maintenance (ie laundry for the children only, tidying up toy ect)

The school pick up time may slightly vary based on the after school clubs they can do at school which are changing every term. They usually manage to have 1 or 2 clubs a week and then finish school at 5pm.

Total hours: 40h a week + a babysitting per week

Live in basis: 400£ net per week (includes food / accommodation and all bills / transport during time spent with the kids).

What’s expected:
The job will consist of taking care of the children in the morning, preparing breakfast, getting them ready to go to the school. Pick them up and do the evening bath and diner; going to playdate/organising activities/going to after school sport activities, helping with the homework’s for our eldest (of course to be discussed given the language - he is in a French-English bilingual school) preparing kids meals for evenings and Wednesday lunch, taking care of the kids laundry and tidying toys/bedroom on a daily basis, changing bedding when necessary. To be clear we will never expect you to do some house cleaning or any other laundry than the kids' except basic help around the house part of living in community! Most importantly have fun with the little ones and enjoy this time together!

Holidays:
We offer 4 weeks of paid holidays per year.

You will be free on weekends. Any ad-hoc weekend work / babysitting would be paid extra and of course based on your availabilities.

Accommodation:
You will have your own room and ensuite bathroom on a separate floor from the family so you have some privacy. I can send some pictures for you to have an idea. There is a TV and a Kettle in the bedroom. The house is quite big with a small garden in the hearth of Fulham (on the district line). You have plenty of coffee shops and nice high street shops walking distance, we are 20minutes from notting hill / south Kensington.
