About me:
My name is Jemma and I am 26 years old.
I joined a nursery setting when I was 17 years old, and did an apprenticeship programme with them gaining my level 3 qualification. I continued on at the nursery as a qualified nursery.
As I continue on with my childcare journey, I am currently working three and a half days a week at a nursery local to me.
I am also doing a psychology university degree online which I'm hoping to develop my knowledge within child psychology for the future.
From my experience, bonding and open communication with parents/careers and the children is crucial to making a healthy, strong environment.
Why I love working with children?
Children bring me so much joy every day, they are so light fun and energetic, I feel that they bring the best out of everyone. I love guiding and watching them hit milestones and increase in confidence with what they are achieving. I shape a child's life most days of the week, but really they are shaping the future. That is what is so exciting.
What am I looking for?
