About Me
I offer childminding in harmony with nature. I believe in letting children’s imaginations roam and aim to provide a setting where they can play to their hearts’ content. I like to provide children with a variety of toys, authentic objects and “loose parts” for play, so they can choose their own activities and be creative.
I’m currently working towards my Hygge in the Early Years accreditation, and am deeply inspired by the Curiosity Approach, as well as the best bits (as I see it) from Steiner, Reggio and Montessori play and learning approaches. I am working on removing all unnecessary plastics from my home, replacing them with natural materials wherever possible.
I love to get outside with children, whatever the weather, and we spend time each day in the garden or out on walks. Rodden Meadows is a favourite destination, or the woodland out by Welshmill.
I offer childminding for pre-schoolers Monday to Thursday, Somerset school term time only. I have recently had a couple of spaces open up as I am taking on an assistant, starting in December 2023.

My Qualifications
I have all the relevant legal qualifications to work with children, such as first aid and safeguarding. I am also working on a Hygge in the Early Years accreditation, which covers all aspects of play and child development, as well as creating an environment to foster them.
My Availability
Currently have spaces on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9 and 4, as I've taken on an assistant.
