About Me
I am currently a part time nanny for a private family with 3 children and could take on one off duties. I was previously an after school play worker for one of the largest providers in the south and a Beanstalk Charity reader in a school taking three pupils for reading and comprehension help twice a week. I also volunteered with Save The Children. I am a British, degree level educated female, who formerly worked as Head of Interior Design for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. I took voluntary redundancy to give time back to my community and begin a new career with children. I am very creative, caring, kind and lots of fun to be with. I really enjoy the company of children and believe education can be and should be as much fun as play. I love being outdoors, I am slim and fit, eat and cook well, and I'm a responsible, proactive, positive person who believes in getting the best out of life and experiences. I have worked with children for the last three years on a part time basis and I am currently considering my options for gaining childcare qualifications. I have an enhanced DBS Certificate as well as being positively vetted by the British Security Services. I am articulate, well read and well travelled and capable of helping with home work, organising days out and children's cookery lessons.
My Experience
Now into my fourth year of working with a family in Ealing with three children. I could take on ad hoc some duties as required. I have worked with the charities Beanstalk and Save the Children. I worked on a one to one basis helping primary school pupils with reading and comprehension, developing the learning experience with drawing and play. I also completed one term of after school care work for primary school age children, preparing healthy snacks and supervising play and crafts as well as pastoral care for over 20 pupils every week day. I have previously looked after four boys and one girl and one boy and one girl for two families, ad hoc care, days out, baby sitting etc.
