We have cheerful and enthusiastic 8 year old twins and are looking for a long term babysitter.

My husband and I are both are self employed and work sometimes is very busy for both of us so juggling everything becomes a challenge. For that reason, whilst there is a general pattern, it is not really an entirely fixed evening or time period we are looking for as every week is different. We are generally flexible about when we would like help as it is just to help lighten the load of the week.

We have had a very happy working relationship with our previous two babysitters, both of whom ended up working for us for several years before relocating. In both cases we remain in touch as the children and them ended up very fond of each other.

Both children are diagnosed ASD. Our son needs no extra support at school and is a very gentle and amiable soul who loves all things academic and dancing/theatre/cars/junior parkrun.

His sister is also diagnosed combined type ADHD. She is thriving at school with some extra support delivered by her EHCP and riding therapy. Once a trusted relationship is built with her (easily done with one of her special interests) she seeks one to one time and gets much comfort from crafting, baking, drawing, learning about animals and the outdoors and needs gentle down time to help her balance the energy required for school.

We are looking for someone with (ideally SEN) experience who is kind, friendly, responsible and reliable who can:

- do an evening or two dinner, play, bath and bedtime in a week. Ideally school pick up on that day so we would seek a driver as it's slightly too long a walk;

- the occasional day or half day at the weekend;

- extra by arrangement when my husband travels for work.

A couple of times a year we might look to get a night away.

We have a whippet who snoozes most of the time. Worth flagging in case of allergies.

We live in a lovely house with a garden near the university so this could be a great match for a responsible student with the right experience though we are ideally wanting to find someone who can help in the long term.
