About Me

I can only imagine how precious your children must be to you. I would love to be the person who makes them smile! My experience across all ages ranges from Private Nanny to nursery care, with my supervisors commending me for 'great courage and ability in relating to others' and 'exceptional creativity and enthusiasm'.

My Experience

As a cross-country runner and former international volleyball player, I have what it takes to keep up with the most energetic little ones. At the same time, I can get quieter children excited with books, arts and crafts. Having exhibited at British Embassy, I organise children's private classes from painting to sculpture. I have written and illustrated award-winning children's stories. Perhaps I could create a dedicated book for - or with - your children?

I would happily sneak educational merit into play, being multilingual and having studied MA Architecture (Hons) at the University of Edinburgh and on a full academic scholarship at a boarding school in England.

Subject to your preference, I am keen to take your children for outdoor adventures and prepare bespoke healthy meals and snacks. I have extensive experience in nutrition, including minimally-processed food, plant-based diets and special requirements.

I love children - there is so much to learn from them about curiosity and enjoying the moment! I do my very best to act as a role model for them while making sure they are happy and nurtured.

am delighted to recommend Maria’s childcare services. She has worked for my family February 2018 - February 2019, in sole charge of my three children (ages 4, 7 and 9) in the absence of my husband and me. This included care at home and taking the kids to educational activities outside.

Maria would dedicate her full attention to my children, actively listening with kindness, empathy and praise for their good acts. She often went the extra mile. For example, she would ask about the kids’ personalities and interests and borrow library books especially for them. She accommodated their requests, such as play in the snow, having ensured our permission whenever appropriate. She would also bring interesting and safe materials for arts and crafts and supervise the children while encouraging them to be independent learners. The exciting projects my children did with her ranged from origami animals to inventing a board game, including both school homework and activities for fun. Afterwards she always made sure to leave the play area neat and tidied up after the children’s meals. Moreover, she would help clean the house on her own initiative, such as when there were dishes left in the sink. When our time away unexpectedly extended, she put our children to bed in time.

Maria has been courteous, openly communicating with us about our values and rules, and each time gave us a summary of how the day went. It has been pleasure to have her in our house and I am certain she will be a huge asset to her next family.

Here is what my children are saying about Maria:

‘I loved playing board games with her’, my child, currently age 9.

‘I loved that she brought a large paper that she uses at University for me to use for my drawings’, my child, currently age 11.

‘I liked that she played hide and seek with me’, my child, currently age 6.
