One in a million

When I needed to return to work, I found the task of finding a childminder really quite daunting. So many factors come into play and I was very nervous meeting different carers and trying to find out if we would be a good fit. When I met Dionne, I just knew we’d found the right person to care for our daughter. In the first ‘settling in’ mornings, I could tell they got along and that my daughter was relaxed in her company and felt at home in her home.

Dionne has been caring for my daughter for the last 15 months, and I can truly say she is a one in a million. My little girl adores Dionne, and is running to her front door each time we drop her off, she is so excited to be there. It means the world to us that we can go off to work without any worries, and to know that our little girl is having fun and being looked after with such care and love that she gets from Dionne and her team.

Dionne has a very calm demeanour, she is professional, caring, kind and considerate, always going the extra mile to make the children and the parents as comfortable as possible. She has been very accommodating, not only to my unusual work schedule, but also to my changing needs for my daughter’s diet and care (she suffers from eczema).

Dionne - Magnificent Childminder

Our son has been in Dionne’s care since January 2017 and to us, she is simply outstanding! We are delighted with Dionne and her team. If welfare and progression are the essence of excellent childcare, then Dionne provides excellent childcare. Dionne is always professional and accommodating (for example taking Shingai early in the morning to allow my wife to get to work) and, most importantly, caring.

We know that when we leave our son with Dionne that he’ll be safe and happy. From the first time we met Dionne (our son was 4 months old), she got down on the floor to his level to communicate with him - we knew then that she would give our son the care and attention he needs to grow and develop. From day one she has lived up to this promise. Our son settled in very quickly and Dionne communicated clearly with us, taking into account our requests for our son’s eating and sleeping habits.

When talking with other parents and hearing the difficulties they’ve had with their kids getting used to and enjoying their childcare setting, we feel very fortunate and are grateful to have a childminder who provides such a brilliant range of home cooked food and is able to get our son to sleep well and without any fight. She has been tenacious and conscientious in ensuring that he sleeps enough during the day. She is remarkably observant and every comment she makes about our son (his sensitivity, his love of the outdoors, his keenness to communicate) rings true with us, his parents. She knows and understands our son very well.

Since starting with Dionne our son’s progress has been, quite frankly, outstanding. His social skills have flourished and he has become a very friendly baby, likewise his language and ability to communicate and observe and comment on the world around him. He will now walk down the road, waving and saying hello to the passers-by, the dogs and even the plants. We know that our son has developed this confidence through the adventures to farms, playgroups and parks he has with Dionne (my wife has actually been in the park with our son and met other parents and childminders who know him through having met him with Dionne!). He has also come home on several occasions and impressed us with new skills –high fiving, cleaning his own face, riding his scoter…

It is not just Dionne’s experience and skills of observation that have encouraged our son, but also the sheer delight she takes in discovering his character and abilities. Life at Dionne’s is full of celebration and seems like a lot of fun. So much so that on one day when I went to pick him up he started crying and didn’t want to go home.

Dionne’s is a very happy place - she creates a fun, inviting and exciting environment for the children to explore, discover and learn through play. We know our son is in the best place and think Dionne is simply Outstanding!

Amazing childcare

Dionne is an amazing childminder, she goes beyond what is expected from her as a childcare provider. It is my first experience with a childminder, as expected I was so worried when it was time for me to get someone to look after our daughter before returning to work, but these fears and doubts quickly disappeared as we decided to leave our daughter into her care. Overall great experience.

Pleasant clean environment with activities for chi

Looking for the right childcare was such a daunting experience however when I contacted Dionne, I was met with such openness and genuinty. I was instantly impressed and couldn't wait to meet with her to see her work.

From meeting with Dionne and seeing all her qualifications and her very tidy home with children playing around and truly enjoying themselves, I was instantly comforted with leaving my son in her care. Dionne is willing to work with the parent to achieve best result for baby,she has stimulating activities and great home cooked food to offer. Honestly she's the best.. Her service is a home away from home!!!!!

Dionne has looked after three of children, doing school collection and throughout the half term and six week holiday. My children love and she has become part o the family even. Dionne is trustworthy, her standard of childcare is very high and she is very serious about her work. I recommend Dionne!!

I love this family so much. I am now family forever. I can honestly say that Daniella is honest, reliable and trustworthy. Daniella loves her children so much and it's an absolute pleasure taking care of them.
When parents can have a good friendship it shines on the children as well. Love you all

She is the best!!!

I am mother for the first time and it took me quite a while to choose a childminder.
The first time I saw Dionne I felt so comfortable and secure that I choose her with eyes closed and believe me it was the best choise I have ever taken for my little girl. Dionne had care of her as a second mom and my little one was always happy and develop herself so much. I highly recommend Dionne and she is trustful and riel able person to count on. Thank you very much for all you have done for Alicia we will never forget you

We have very good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with each other and the respect that we have shown to each other over the period of time your daughter have been with me
Being a Childminder you have to be patient, loving, caring and understanding because every child needs are different. I enjoy my job very much.
