I have been rated Outstanding by Ofsted and have a place available.
I am an Ofsted registered childminder/mummy located
in New Malden. I have three children, Paige 19,Harry 11 and Jack is 6 years
Paige is in Leicestershire at University.
Harry attends full time secondary school.
Jack attends Malden Perochial in Worcester Park.
My home is in an excellent position for commuters with good transport links.
We are also close to many local schools and nurseries for school runs.
Children in my care will experience mornings at playgroups, trips to the Wetlands Centre, the local park, Richmond Park, library, music classes and the local community centre.
We are an active part of the community and the community centre.
I own annual passes to the Wetland Centre and Merlin annual passes to visit the Sea Life Centre, Legoland and Sea Life Sanctuaries etc.
We regularly frequent these fantastic places as well as other developmentally stimulating places such as Hobble Down children's farm (formally Horton Park farm).
Indoor activities include messy play, cooking, arts and crafts, lots of fun toys & educational toys. We also have a dedicated cubby hole for indoor imaginative play and creativity.
My home is a non smoking environment and has been checked by a local fire safety officer.
I take on a low ratio of children to incorporate the care of my own children too.
This is the perfect way for us as a family to promote socialisation, sharing and caring for others as well as ourselves thus enabling positive relationships.
All food is home cooked and meal times are a social occasion designed to encourage communication and social skills. I also hold a 5* food hygiene certificate.
I have excellent references and have recently been CRB checked.
My home has public liability insurance with Sterling Insurance and I have childcare insurance with Pacey.
I have a large, child friendly, secure garden with an even bigger selection of toys/equipment for outdoor play, including a fantastic bouncy castle that is always a child pleaser.
We also have an extensive range of indoor toys to suit all ages and both sexes.
The children will have constant access to books and I regularly rotate toys and take the children to the toy library.
My Experience
I have 3 grown up children, I have worked with children for many years of all ages in placements of schools and private nurseries, Children Services, Catch 22, youth work, nannying/childminding and of course at my daughter's school since she first started 17 years ago. Working with children is my chosen vocation, I love it and always have.
My Qualifications
I am constantly taking night classes and adding qualifications to my portfolio. I enjoy updating my knowledge and refreshing my cognitive ability. I keep up to date with all current policies, research articles and changes in government movements.
I am Ofsted registered and a member of the National Childminding Association

My Availability
I am on the Early Years Register and the Childcare Register so am qualified for younger or older children.
I operate between the hours of 6am and 8pm. However, I am able to offer care in early morning by prior arrangement, late evenings and at weekends. I am willing to negotiate most times/days and babysitting rates.

We absolutely love our childminder! Our oldest son used to go to her, and now our second one does too — she’s just amazing. Super reliable, always there when we need extra hours or days, and she takes the kids out all the time — to the zoo, playgroups, parks, you name it. She’s so kind, caring and you can tell that she loves what she’s doing!
We feel really lucky to have her!

Emma is an amazing childcare provider for my 7-year-old son with SEN and we are so pleased we found her. She’s warm, patient, and its easy to see how passionate she for the care, happiness and education of the children. Our son comes home excited and happy every day. She expertly adapts every activity to his needs, making sure to keep him engaged without overwhelming him. His empathy and independence has grown so much whilst hes been going to Emma's after school. During school holidays, Emma takes the kids out for fantastic days out, whether it be the Zoo, Park or splashing in the paddling pool, she has everything to keep them entertained all day!
She sends regular photos and updates of what our son has been up to, making sure to send anything, new exciting or interesting he has done.
We are so grateful to Emma for all she does and so happy we found her!

Childminder doesn’t do Emma justice as a job title. She is so much more than that to us and our son. Working in the NHS my husband and I have unpredictable days that can sometimes change at short notice. This has never once been a problem with Emma, she is so accommodating, understanding and kind and we will never be able to express how grateful we are for this. Over the last couple of years we have watched our son grow into this bubbly, confident, content little boy with his buddies in a house bursting at the seams with love and happiness. Emma’s home set up is ideal for learning through play, and beyond that they have so many opportunities for day trips which is just fantastic and so enriching for all of them as a group - there’s a reason she gains outstanding ratings at Ofsted (and why our son will often refuse to get in the car without a big hug and a kiss goodbye from Emma!!) The best decision we ever made for him xx
