About Me
I've worked with children and young people in a variety of capacities for several years, however, I'm currently a full time primary school teacher in Exeter, and have worked in education since 2014 in a range of schools and across different year groups.
Having benefited from having a maths tutor myself when I was younger, I hope to help children develop their confidence and love of learning by providing an additional level of support.
I'm happy to tutor in any subject, as well as the 11+. Whilst my experience is with primary pupils, I'd also be open to tutoring early secondary pupils to help fill any gaps in their knowledge.
My Experience
I began my career in education by volunteering as a classroom assistant in a mixed year 3/4 and also a year 1/2 class, then went on to complete a PGCE at Exeter University. After this I worked as a supply teacher for a term covering various year 5 and 6 classes.
I've then held teaching posts at a number of schools since 2017, teaching classes throughout the primary age range.
My Qualifications
After obtaining GCSEs at a grammar school, I went on to study A Levels in History, Business and Psychology, I went on to study BSc Business Studies with Marketing at Cardiff University. When I left, I worked in the private sector for several years, however, returned to education to complete a Primary PGCE, specialising in maths, at the University of Exeter, and have since completed my NQT year.
My Availability
I'm currently on maternity leave so can be available throughout the day, depending on whether little one is able to attend the session.
