My Summary
Highly Experienced Nanny & Qualified Nurse | 30+ Years Childcare & Sen Experience
About Me
I am a kind, caring, and responsible professional with an energetic and creative approach. I am grounded, highly adaptable, and naturally able to build strong, trusting relationships with children of all ages. Through imagination, patience, and genuine care, I create engaging and nurturing environments where children feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.
My Experience
Throughout my career, I have successfully balanced both medical and developmental care, allowing me to offer a holistic and person-centred approach.
I have experience working as a nanny for a 10-year-old girl and her 11-year-old brother with complex physical and learning difficulties, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs. I also supported another family as a nanny and housekeeper for two young girls (aged 5 and 7), assisting the family during the mother’s recovery from a head injury.
My early years experience includes working as a nursery nurse within a Montessori pre-school environment, supporting children’s learning and development through both structured and child-led approaches. Prior to returning to nursing, I worked as a full-time nanny for three years, delivering consistent, nurturing, and structured care.
Currently, I work part-time as a nanny for a 7-month-old baby and provide ongoing support for a 16-year-old young person with cerebral palsy.
I am passionate about creating safe, supportive environments that encourage confidence, independence, and overall well-being. I pride myself on building strong relationships with both children and their families, ensuring care is always consistent, professional, and delivered with warmth.

I was struggling to find childcare near me for my two boys for the weekend when I was attending an event in Glastonbury so decided to look for someone to watch the boys at the hotel. Emma really stepped up to help make the weekend doable for me and enjoyable for the boys. Due to having Aspergers and high anxiety it’s not easy to find the right person to look after them but Emma was a perfect fit. The boys loved her. Rather than just staying inside the whole time, Emma took the boys to a nearby park which was a successful outing. Because of their difficulties I don’t find it easy to relax with other people looking after the boys, but I felt very comfortable with them being in Emma’s care and was able to relax, and enjoy a long over due night out. I highly recommend Emma and will certainly use her again in the future.
