I am a creative and kind carer, believing that every child deserves rich and varied experiences and is given the opportunity to explore and grow into their unique selves. I am a fully qualified teacher and have worked across the year groups, specialising in the early years. Through this I have developed a deep knowledge of child development and holistic learning. I believe in delivering safe, loving and interesting child care, encouraging curiosity and self belief through every opportunity. I love the outdoors, spending my spare time out in the countryside and currently work part time with a local family charity. I am also studying a masters in play therapy at the University of South Wales. I enjoy cooking, growing food, animals and wild swimming and love creating art and other crafts around the year.
My Experience
I have ten years teaching experience in primary schools (from nursery to year 6), 1.5 years nursery work including Montessori and am currently working therapeutically with children under 12 through studying Play Therapy. I am receiving in-depth training in psychology, child development and play therapy theory through my masters course (2nd of 3 years). I currently work part-time in family support and forest school delivery. I have additional experience tutoring primary ages and working with SEND children.
In other work I have cleaned, gardened, landscape gardened and worked for a well known wildlife charity.
My days have some flexibility subject to discussion. Maximum 3 whole days work with occasional evening/ babysitting shifts.
