About Me
Hi, I am single and have worked in education both private and maintained schools for two decades and live within the beautiful Shropshire country side between Bridgnorth and Highley. My daughter lives away at university. I have offered before and after school care and holiday club for six years from my home and Severn Valley Childcare has an OFSTED good grading.
My Experience
After a decade working at a local boarding school as a member of their support staff in the Early Years dept and all other areas of the curriculum including overnight matron for residents, I became HLTA at a local primary school and run the outdoor learning (forest school) and support KS2 Maths and assist with SEN pupils. My two decades of experience covers all areas of safeguarding and adds to my honours degree specialising in child development. I am on the board of governors at Kinlet Primary School and have owned and managed Severn Valley Childcare since 2012 alongside my teaching role giving me the benefits of working on a daily basis with other professionals yet planning and running my own setting from home when I'm not required in school.
My Qualifications
I have BSc (hons) degree in child development
Level 3 Forest school leader
Full safeguarding training
Paediatric and outdoor first aid qualifications
Autism Awareness and further SEN qualifications and other relevant certificates available on request.
I am a member of PACEY the Professional Association of Childcarers & Early Years
My Availability
I am available 7.30am before school in Chelmarsh and after school until 6.30pm including drop off and pick up from Kinlet during term time with school runs to and from Kinlet Primary School and Family Playgroup. I also operate full time during school holidays. Closed bank holidays and some PD days - just ask and we will do our best to help but on the occasion that we can't, then we can help point you towards the services that may suit you otherwise x

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.20 per hour
I charge £4 per hour which includes drinks and snacks after school. Minimum 1hr charge. Term time and/or holiday club only contracts available. Cooked lunch and pudding £2.50 per day. Breakfast and evening tea offered £2 per meal. transport to and from Kinlet is charged via childminder rate at £2.50 per journey.
