About Me
I am an experienced care giver with a wealth of experience. I have four children aged 8,11,13 and 18. Having employed a nanny myself in the past when I worked as long haul cabin crew I understand the importance of finding someone who is the right fit for your family and will provide a safe and caring environment whilst maintaining the smooth running of the household. I am paediatric first aid trained and also have first hand experience with children with severe allergies. I am also DBS checked and have my own car.
My Experience
I have volunteered at my children’s school for the last 4 years and alongside this completed a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF).
I have just competed a temporary nanny role with a little girl who I looked after from 5 months to 13 months, during this time I assisted with implementing structure and routine that worked for the family. I helped wean the baby and cooked food appropriate to the different weaning stages. I also attended various classes to aid her social and physical skills.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF).
Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour)
10 GCSE A*-C
3 A levels
My Availability
I am available on a part time basis between 9am and 3pm on weekdays and evenings and weekends after 7pm.
I am also available for emergency nanny cover, if you need me last minute as a one off cover please contact me and times can be flexible.
Term times only as I go away with my own family in the school holidays.
I work for different families on an hourly rate as and when needed. If you want to pop to the gym for an a few hours or have a newborn and toddler and want to get into a routine then I could be on hand to help with this.
I want to create a positive and trusting relationship with different families so that they know I am available to step into their family home and look after their children giving them complete peace of mind as and when needed.

My Fees
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
I am £18 per hour and will have my own insurance and my own company so therefore sort my own tax as work for different families.
Minimum of 2 hours. Fees can be negotiable if needed for the whole day.
I am £14 an hour after 7pm for babysitting

I cannot recommend Mel enough, if you’re reading this and she’s still free you might have found one in a million.
I’ve known Mel for a few years and she’s done some adhoc nannying and helped with our baby (at the time) and two boys.
Firstly her experience is second to none with 4 children of her own who are all impeccably behaved. She’s nannied amongst that and has the kindest spirit but also wonderful nurturing instincts and knowledge.
She instantly bonded with our baby and got her to sleep, made her feel calm and had everything in order.
She’s offered excellent advice too for my older children and is just so likeable, reliable and professional.
Cannot recommend enough.

Mel looked after our one-year-old daughter last minute for one day as our regular nanny was off sick. She is very personable and positive, and our daughter warmed up to her almost straight away. She also made the time to pop in the day before to introduce herself to us and our daughter which was really appreciated and put us at ease. Mel clearly has a wealth of childcare experience and knows exactly how to keep little ones entertained! I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Mel again if I needed childcare help.
