About Me
Welcome to Little Pandas Childcare! ?
Hello and welcome to our profile!
We are Agnes and Andrea, two sisters and Ofsted-registered childminders who have been working together since 2018 in our home-from-home setting.
So, why Little Pandas? ?
We often joke that we are like a panda: black and white! We have two very different personalities, different strengths and different ideas, but somehow when you put us together, it just works.
And then there are our Little Pandas.
Every child who walks through our door is different too. Different personalities, interests, abilities, cultures, languages, backgrounds and wonderfully individual little characters.
Our job isn't to make children all the same. It's to provide a safe, caring and welcoming environment where they can be themselves, grow in confidence, develop at their own pace and discover the world around them.
What are days at Little Pandas like?
We love to play, explore, create, get outdoors, get messy, laugh, learn and turn everyday experiences into opportunities for discovery.
We believe some of the best learning happens through real life. That might mean baking and preparing food, exploring nature, going for walks, enjoying days out, visiting local places, creating something from scratch, celebrating birthdays and special events, or simply following a child's curiosity to see where it takes us.
Our days have familiar routines and boundaries, but there is plenty of flexibility within them. We understand that children aren't all interested in the same things at the same time, so we observe, listen and adapt our activities and learning opportunities around the children in our care.
And yes... Pandas LOVE their food! ??
Food is an important part of life at Little Pandas. We encourage children to experience a varied and balanced diet, become involved in food preparation and cooking, and discover new tastes and textures in a relaxed and positive way.
Please be aware that Little Pandas is not a nut-free setting. We take allergies and individual dietary requirements seriously and ask families to discuss any allergies or medical dietary needs with us before starting so that appropriate arrangements and risk assessments can be considered.
Learning is everywhere ?
At Little Pandas, learning isn't something that only happens when we're sitting at a table doing an activity. We believe some of the most meaningful learning happens naturally through children's everyday experiences.
Cooking together can introduce maths through weighing, measuring and counting. A walk outdoors can turn into a conversation about seasons, wildlife, colours and the world around us. Growing something teaches patience and responsibility. Shopping, preparing food and tidying up develop independence and important life skills. Stories, songs and everyday conversations support language and literacy without children even realising they're learning.
We provide opportunities for children to explore art and creativity, music and movement, early maths and literacy, nature and science, physical development, imaginative play and the wider community. Our outings and bigger days out give children experiences beyond the setting and plenty to talk about, investigate and remember afterwards.
We follow the EYFS for children in the early years and support learning through play, everyday experiences, outings, conversation, exploration and children's individual interests.
We also understand that children learn differently. We observe each child, follow their interests and consider their individual stage of development rather than expecting every child to learn the same thing in the same way or at the same time.
We welcome children with different cultures, languages, abilities and individual needs. Between us we speak English, Russian and Latvian, and we have experience supporting children with English as an additional language and children who may need additional support with communication or development.
Most importantly, we want children to develop skills that go far beyond recognising numbers or writing their name — confidence, independence, curiosity, resilience, communication, friendships, problem-solving, kindness and the confidence to have a go.
For us, the EYFS isn't about turning childhood into school. It's about recognising just how much learning is already happening while children are busy being children. ???
Our family pets ?
As a home-from-home setting, Little Pandas is also home to our two family dogs, Rocky, a German Shepherd, and Lexi, a Belgian Malinois × German Shepherd.
Children's interactions with our dogs are supervised, and we teach children how to behave safely, kindly and respectfully around animals and understand their boundaries. Having pets within the setting also provides natural opportunities to develop empathy, responsibility and an understanding of how to care for other living things.
Working together with families ??
For us, childcare isn't only about caring for a child between drop-off and collection.
Parents and carers are an important part of Little Pandas too. We believe good childcare comes from communication, trust and working together.
We want families to feel comfortable talking to us — whether that's sharing something about their child's development, asking a question, discussing a concern or simply telling us something that might help us understand their child better.
We know that family life isn't always easy, and our door is always open for a conversation and a cup of coffee when somebody needs one.
Finding the right childcare matters
Choosing someone to care for your child is a big decision.
You aren't simply looking for an available childcare space. You're looking for somewhere your child will feel safe, comfortable, understood and happy — and somewhere that feels right for you as a parent too.
That's why we always encourage families to come and meet us before making a decision.
Come and see our setting, meet us, ask as many questions as you like, tell us about your child and get a genuine feel for what everyday life at Little Pandas is like.
That relationship between the child, their family and their childminders is incredibly important to us.
We are always grateful when a family chooses us to become a little part of their child's story. ??
Come and meet the Pandas! ?
If you'd like to find out more about Little Pandas Childcare, our setting, availability or arranging a visit, please feel free to get in touch.
Come and meet Agnes, Andrea and the Little Pandas and see whether we might be the right fit for your family.
Because every Little Panda is different — and that's exactly how we like it. ?
My Experience
Andrea's Experience:
I have been a registered childminder since 2018 and also have previous experience working with children abroad.
Over the years, I have continued to develop my knowledge through a wide range of training covering children's learning, development, wellbeing and safeguarding. This has included areas such as learning through nature, maths in the early years, supporting children with English as an additional language, SEND, safeguarding and many other aspects of children's development.
I am a mum of two boys and have experience of parenting from the early years right through to the teenage years.
Before becoming a childminder, I also worked as a First Aider and Fire Warden. This gave me valuable practical experience of responding calmly and appropriately in real situations, alongside the Paediatric First Aid training required for my childminding role.
I hold up-to-date Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training and regularly complete additional professional development to keep my knowledge and practice current.
I speak three languages fluently: English, Russian and Latvian. This has been particularly valuable when supporting children and families who speak more than one language or have English as an additional language.
Agnes's Experience:
Agnes began working alongside Andrea in 2018 and became an independent Ofsted-registered childminder in 2019. We now work together as two registered childminders at Little Pandas Childcare.
Like Andrea, Agnes regularly undertakes additional training to continue developing her knowledge of children's learning, development, safeguarding and wellbeing. Her professional development has included areas such as literacy in the early years, supporting vulnerable children and families, food safety and many other aspects of early childhood development.
Agnes holds appropriate food-handling training and up-to-date Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training.
She is also a mum of three girls, giving her extensive personal as well as professional experience of caring for children across different ages and stages.
Between us, we bring different strengths, experiences and personalities to Little Pandas. Working together means children have two familiar registered childminders who know them well, while families benefit from the experience, knowledge and support we both bring to the setting.

Our daughter absolutely loves Pandas. Andrea and Agnes create a very friendly, safe and fun environment. Every occasion is celebrated in a special way, every birthday is unique and so much fun! We also get daily updates via whatsapp with photos so we are aware of what has been done, how long our daughter napped and what she has eaten that day. She has already made so many friends and always says how much she loves her 'teachers'. We wouldn't imagine a better place for our daughter to develop, socialise and just have a good fun every day. And as parents we fully trust Andrea and Agnes and would recommend Pandas to anyone. Thank you for all your hard work!

Our daughter has been going to little pandas since she was one and she’s nearly three now. Couldn’t ask for a better place for her to go. They are both so welcoming and happy to see her every morning. Rosie runs from the car and straight inside to play with her friends, she forgets about me haha! They are always doing lots of different activities and always going out exploring outside. We get lots of pictures and videos updates from the day which are lovely to look at after a day of work. They have a really good bond with Rosie and she has become a really confident little girl. Would recommend anyone to send their children here, you won’t be disappointed.

Our son has been attending pandas for a year now and loves it there. Andrea and Agnes have been amazing, they have so much patience and are always supportive towards us and our child. They even helped to potty train him. Another thing we love is that almost all of the children that attend are similar ages so he develops strong friendships and learns to grow alongside his peers. We get photos sent daily showing what he's been up to and they are always having so much fun, running around, at the park, playing games, singing and dancing, having parties! I definitely recommend pandas childcare to everyone who's looking for a safe and supportive environment for their little one.

Thank you so much and we are so pleased to hear your positive feedback ❤️
My daughter has been going to Little Pandas since she was 6 months old and is now 2.5 years old. She loves going to Pandas every weekday and she has developed strong bonds with both Andrea and Agnes and the other children there. It has been great for her language development and she is very chatty now. She has been encouraged to eat independently and she loves going out for the daily walks and park/shop visits. There are a range of celebrations of different cultures and special days and my daughter loves dressing up for these occasions.
The daily updates via Whatsapp are really useful to see what she has done, how she has interacted, what she has eaten, how long she has napped for etc.
During the school holidays there are special days out and I have complete trust in Andrea and Agnes to transport the children safely and make sure they are well looked after during the trips. The children all wear hi-viz jackets to show who they are with and she always has fun.
I would definitely recommend Little Pandas to anyone who wants their child to benefit from a smaller, more personal childcare setting.

Thank you so much for your feedback we really appreciate it ❤️
Unable to settle 2 yo . My daughter was crying and couldn’t be settled only to see their front doors . I’ve been called off from work coz these 2 Andrea and her sister was unable to settle down my child
Mixture of children in different ages in the same group ( just to maximise profit I assume ) so 2 yo are expected to undertake the same activities as much older children which eventually led to their frustration. They have my 2 years old scissors to cut the paper !!!! No facilities only small living room and kitchen with big table . They’ll look down on you and make you feel like your horrible mother . Avoid these 2 like a plaque .

Hello Katarzyn! We are really sorry to read this review! Could you please remind us when you was attending our setting, so sorry but we cannot recall you? We are feeling very sorry that we have made someone feeling like that but it's difficult to comment as we don't recognise you. But yes we do encourage children use child safe scissors and other arts and crafts stuff to help their development. And yes we have different age of children and they will likely do same or similar activities but there is no expectations, our goal for each individual child to reach their individual progress. You probably will find most childminders works with different age children. And if you attended our setting than you probably are aware that we working from home and most activities are outdoors and we going for walks and trips every day. Please do get in touch with us so we can figure out which child we are talking about because at the moment we are in loss as we cannot remember any upset 2 year leaving us and we definitely haven't called anyone to pick up upset child. Wrong setting? Possibly? Thank you and we really hope we can solve this puzzle together :)
My daughter was 3 years in a nursery prior coming to Little Pandas Family.... Andrea and Agnes started looking after our daughter since October 2021 and it was truly the best choice I ever made... The house looks very organised and clean.
Our daughter felt so much happier and safe with them. They are so friendly and caring too. They must have amazing cooking skills too as my daughter always comes home very proud of herself showing her reward stickers because she ate all her food.
I am really so grateful for having them taking care of my daughter as when I was facing a difficult time they were so supportive and helpful.
I would definitely recommend them to any parents who need reliable childcare.

Andrea and Agnes are brilliant. My daughter started coming here after a bad experience at her previous nursery. My daughter has come a very long way and her confidence has grown so much since being here. They do amazing activities in the day and are always going out. No day is a boring day ! My daughter feels so safe there and when drop her off i know 100% that she is safe and well looked after. I never worry.
My daughter is buzzing when I pick her up and even thrown a tantrum because she didn't want to leave ! 🤣 they have amazing bonds with all the children and they work with the parents to make sure your child is comfortable at their home.
If I had another child, they would come here definitely!
Words cannot describe how greatful I am to Andrea and Agnes, they are simply... amazing !

Thank you so much for amazing review 💖 Your kind words put a tear in our eyes 🤍🐼
A happy, fun and caring place that our toddler gets excited about in the mornings as he knows where he is going. His development has been excellent, and all three ladies ensure his day is fulfilling and fun. He enjoys a varied menu of things to eat each day and enjoys regular trips out to some exciting places. The communication is excellent and the use of social media throughout the day allowing us to see what he's getting up to is a massive plus as well as keeping us informed of any key learning and experiences they have planned... Keep up the great work everyone.

Andrea and Agnes are absolutely brilliant with my son. My 3-year-old has been attending Pandas since April this year and has hit so many milestones with them I couldn't be happier. Previously he attended a busy daycare which was convenient in terms of location, but, given the cost of the daycare, the quality of care my son was getting just didn´t match up to being with childminders. The personal attention he now gets and the home-from-home setting he is now in is such a benefit to his development and wellbeing. The improvement in his moods and behavior improved within just 2 weeks of the change to Pandas.
Andrea and Agnes take the kids to playgrounds and parks, getting a lot of fresh air and exercise. The routine works so well and my son is a well adjusted, happy little boy every time we pick him up.
Andrea and Agnes really do go the extra mile, they make every occasion special and really put a lot of detail and effort in planning activities and outings. The indoor setting is very homey, calm, very clean and organised. The communication is also excellent - with regular updates and pictures, which is such a comfort knowing that my child is safe, well cared for and happy. I highly recommend Andrea and Agnes in light of the excellent job they are continuing to do caring for my son.
