Hi,
We would like to introduce ourselves, we are Natasha and Jordan and we will be based in Surbiton.
We are offering our warm and welcoming services, where our passion is to work with young people and enhance their learning. We would like to offer a home away from home environment, where the children feel safe and happy. Throughout our experience, we have learnt that children learn best whilst having fun and following their own interests.
We have worked together for around 5 years, which has been within an educational setting (Forest School), this has provided us with a wide range of experience and knowledge within the EYFS.
My Experience
A little bit about us:
Natasha:
I have a level 6 qualification in BA Education, I have worked within the childcare sector for 10 years. During my studies I began to nanny for a family, I was there for a total of 3 years and then moved on to work within a nursery setting. During my time at the Forest School I have worked my way to Deputy Manager of the nursery, which has allowed me to gain the knowledge of the day-to-day runnings of a childcare provision.
A personal achievement of mine is that over the last year I have opened a local Soft Play, to provide children with a safe and fun environment to explore.
Jordan:
I have currently worked at the Forest School for 4 years, I spent my first year in the Pre-School group 3-5 years old, and I have now moved into the toddler room, where the children range from 18 months to 2.5 years. I believe that you should provide a fun and happy environment where our days are full of smiles, dancing and lots of music. Through music, children gain communication and language skills, physical development, expressive arts and design among other areas of learning.
We have gained a wide knowledge of the EYFS and will ensure that the best practise is delivered to all children under our care. We will attend playgroups, parks, library groups, locals farms, soft plays and spend a lot of time outside exploring. Throughout our experience we have identified the importance of children having the opportunity for outdoor play and learning through their imagination.
We will ensure that this will be implemented within our daily routine. Along with lots of fun and creative activities.
