About Me

My name is Liz and I live in Broadstone with my husband, two children and our 7 year old black labrador.
I have a 5 year old girl and a 2 year old boy.
I am a part time primary school teacher with 10 years experience teaching in local schools and a part time childminder.
At Pufflings Childcare I offer lots of play opportunities with resources including a playroom with craft activities, small world, construction, puppets, vehicles, puzzles and games.
Outside there is a secure garden with a mud kitchen, sand pit, slide and water play.
Our labrador has a separate area during the day to allow children to learn how to interact with animals safely and appropriately.
I have a fully insured 9 seater van with appropriate car/booster seats.

My Experience

I am a qualified primary school teacher and have worked in several local primary schools for the last 10 years with a focus on early years and up to year 2.
Since having my two children I have become a part time teacher and registered childminder and set up Pufflings Childcare with extensive experience of early reading, and pre-school learning from my work as a teacher.
As a teacher, I know the importance of learning through play and using outdoor learning to enhance children's development.
I have a full understanding of the early years curriculum, early learning goals and how to support children in their readiness for school.
Children play at our home and secure garden both independently and as a group.
Local outings include trips to the library, park and walking our friendly labrador on short walks.
