About Me

My name is Ellie, I'm 28 and I have a friendly, outgoing, positive personality. I do not have any children of my own but I am a dedicated auntie to 3 girls aged 5-8 who I love to spend my time with and regularly babysit.
I have an active lifestyle myself and enjoy leading fun/creative activities for children whether its going to the park, swimming, garden games, home arts and crafts and even making homework fun!
I am very reliable and organised and know the importance of being someone you can entrust to take care of your child/children.
I feel it is important to encourage healthy living and secure routines to help nurture any child's development. I feel I would slot in well to any busy household with ease.
I am currently learning to drive and awaiting my driving test but due to COVID this has been put on pause like many things this year.
If you feel I would be right for your vacancy please feel free to get in touch :-).

My Experience

In 2009 I was awarded The Kent Try Angle Award for Personal Achievement in the Arts and was a County finalist in The Spirit of the Try Angle award. This was after teaching dance at a Special Needs primary school in Rowhill, I was able to engage and encourage the students whilst adapting my lesson plan to fit the needs of the children.

Having trained as a dancer and worked professionally in the industry for the last 5 years, I began teaching at Reynolds Dance School and Miss Hannah's Musical theatre summer schools from 2013-2015 with ages ranging from 4-16. Being able to connect and keep the concentration of a class with varying age groups was challenging but something I thoroughly enjoyed. I love to see children grow in confidence and develop their kinaesthetic, auditory and visual skills.

As I have mentioned before I am an auntie and have always been extremely hands on with all three of my girls over the last 8 years. My sister lived with me and my first born niece, from a new born to 3 years. Before she was born we discovered she had a very rare heart condition and other medical complexities. Throughout this time I assisted my sister in feeding, nasogastric feeding, nappy changing, hospital visits and general round the clock care, babysitting and support for my sister. I believe this first experience really shaped me into the type of auntie I am today.
