About Me
Hi I am a ofsted registered childminder outstanding in the East Hunsbury area I live with my husband and we have two children a seven year old son and a four year old daughter, and I am passionate about caring for children and keeping them safe at all times within my home environment.
I provide home to home care and warmth within my environment and I feel it’s important to meet the individual child’s needs. I will continue with the child’s routine from their home environment and work with their interests and follow the EYFS framework to extend the child’s development further.
I believe being outside is fun and healthy for the child so we will be going on walks to explore the environment and visit our local library sharing books and joining in with music and group activities and also twice a day on school runs. I believe it’s important for children to express how they are feeling so we have mirrors and we often talk about our feelings . I do offer funding spaces .
My Experience
I have had a huge amount of childcare experience from working in a day nursery since I was 16 . I have a huge interest and I love looking after children and watching them grow into little individuals travelling at their own speeds and directions which is very important catering for their individual needs and characters . I have worked at 4 nurseries. I have worked at an infant school setting in reception children into their new enviroment classes , and helped run a church crèche as well.
My Qualifications
I hold a foundation degree in early years level 5 and I hold NVQ ‘S at levels of 2, 3 and 4 .
I hold all the relevant qualifications and constantly keeping up to date with the relevant new data and research that has been delivered recently. I have enrolled on two sen courses a child development one and two behaviour ones as I liked to keep my knowledge up to date where I can .
I am first aid trained .
I hold an certificate in
Safeguarding, FGM, sign language, mental health in children certificate , food hygiene, and currently studying a senco course.
My Availability
All year around One Space a Tuesday and a Friday only .

Tues 2 spaces over 5 yrs -8 yrs
Wed 1 space over 5 yrs-8 yrs
Thurs 1 space over 5 yrs - 8 yrs
Fri 2 spaces over 5 yrs-8 yrs and one space under 5 yrs
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6. 00 an hour including meals - breakfast , lunch and tea and including am and pm snacks.
£50.00 to secure a space . Refundable when you take the space .
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Simon de Senlis Primary School

Gilly’s is Jessica’s home away from home. She is generally quite clingy but she will run to the door with a smile on her face, ready for an enjoyable day with Gilly and her friends. Gilly is one in a million because she truly cares about the children and always goes the extra mile to ensure that her children are all engaged, safe, nurtured and, most of all, having fun! Thank you for all you do, Gilly.

Our daughter loves Gillian and is always so happy when she has been there for the day. Gillian always has lots of fun activities for the children and our daughter comes home with pictures and cards on special occasions which is lovely. Gillian follows our home plan for naps and potty training which has made this much smoother for us. We receive updates at the end of each day about how the day has gone and how our daughter has eaten and slept which is great. We also love to see the themes for the week around numbers and shapes.

Couldn’t have chose a better child minder for my daughter, Gilly goes above and beyond to meet my daughters needs. My daughter loves going to Gilly and as a parent that is the most reassuring thing, she not only has fun but she learns, she feels happy and heard! Thankyou so much for everything you do, it does not go unnoticed, you are incredible!

At first, I was unsure about what type of childcare I wanted to pursue for my child. Then Gilly messaged me and invited me to do a tour of her setting and get to know her. From the start, Gilly made me feel comfortable and answered any questions I had. As someone from an ethnic background, Gilly is very adaptable to making sure my child knows their culture and celebrates any holidays that we would at home. She showed me all the sensory toys available and the curriculum that all the children will be learning. Shes skilled in sign language and does exercise with the children too which made me really happy to hear as she goes above and beyond for the children she cares for. I’m really grateful I found Gilly and I’m looking forward to my child to be cared by her. I feel comfortable knowing my child will be cared for in a home like setting with someone who genuinely cares about children, their development and their well being. Thank you Gilly.

My little one really enjoys attending Gilly's Gigglepots. He settled very well into the setting and had some settling in sessions to support this. Gilly is a happy and fun soul and is so enthusiastic, she was born to care for children. She has such a kind and caring personality. My child adores her and has made some lovely friendships. Gilly also sends lots of photos throughout the day which is very reassuring. Thanks Gilly for everything you do x

I found Gilly after a long search. From the moment I met her, she made me feel welcome, and my son immediately took to her. Gilly keeps me regularly updated throughout the day with photos and messages, which is very reassuring, and my son has settled in very quickly. Gilly is bubbly, friendly and full of enthusiasm for children, and it shows! She adds lots of lovely little personalised touches, such as animal pictures for each child's peg, and little placemats, and it really feels like a home from home.
I always feel I can ask her questions and nothing is too much trouble. When I first met Gilly made me a cup of tea and invited me into the playroom so my son and I could meet the other children. It really made such a difference as a first-time mum entrusting my child to someone else. I could see where he would be playing and the friends he would be making, and I felt I could get to know Gilly and her family.
Gilly has a paper folder filled with lovely reviews and organises her childcare services really well. She focuses on each child's development, choosing different learning activities each week and taking the kids out and about.
I would highly recommend Gilly- her kindness and passion for her job is evident.
