About Me
Hello, my name is Susan and I have been a fully insured OFSTED Registered Childminder since 2006 and I am a member of the PACEY. I received an”Outstanding" OFSTED inspection on the EYFS standards of provision (Jan 2019). I am an accredited childminder and can offer 2 year old and 3yr old funded places.
I offer a safe, homely and welcoming environment for your child to learn and develop in.
I am 58 and live with my husband, dog Sally and living outside we have hens.
I have a separate playroom with lots of educational toys, lots of materials for art and crafts, instruments,mark making area, kitchen, dressing up and role play and many books.
Outside there is a large patio for riding bikes/scooters etc and a play house sand/ water tuff trays and space to use many different outdoor toys..
The play is child centered with part child led and part adult lead activities, and accessible resources (age and stage appropriate) allow freedom of choice. My childminder sessions incorporate messy, sensory exploratory and physical play inside and out. There are lots of opportunities for outdoor activities in the garden including soil and planting, sand and water. We also have visits to the park, library and play areas to get exercise, have fun and make friends.

My Experience
I have been childminding for 16 years and have loved every minute, nurturing children from babies and toddlers through to them starting school. I have experience of babies from 7 months to children of 11yrs old. I previously did my childcare training with a Bolton Local Authority nursery and volunteered as a Special Needs assistant with a private day care nursery. I have also volunteered as a reading helper in a primary school assisting older children to gain confidence and self belief.

NVQ level 3 in Childcare
Keeping Children Safe Training(safeguarding level 3)
Senco training
Paediatric First Aid Certificate
Food Safety/Food Hygiene Certificate
ELKLAN communication and language
Many courses and workshops to enhance the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage
My Availability
My working hours are from 8 until 5.0pm .Tues to Thursday
I have space at the moment on Tues/Wed please enquire as soon as possible to arrange an informal chat or visit.
Baby sitting service some weekday evenings. Bookings in advance required.
