My Summary

My Experience

I am currently employed at a private child minders. I was initially employed as a nanny with sole charge of my employers son, but my role then changed to child minders assistant as my employer needed more help with her daily charges. I have been at this setting for approximately 4 years. We work in a domestic setting and care for between 7 and 12 children at various times. My Ofsted suitability allows me to be in sole charge of the children when the need arises. I am responsible for daily school runs, I prepare and feed the children their breakfast and lunch and entertain the pre school age children that we mind.

Nanny full time role with 3 children:
My role included preparing the children's breakfast, lunches and dinners and taking them to and from school everyday. I also did light housework around the house whilst the two older children was at school. I helped the children with homework, piano lessons and swimming lessons. They also enjoyed day's out to the park, beach and local kid's clubs. I had sole charge of putting the children to bed and ensuring everything was prepared for the next day.

Nursery play leader:
I have experience at a Nursery/crèche based in a school setting alongside one other member of staff. My roles and responsibilities were to provide the children with a structured and safe environment whilst also ensuring that the children enjoyed their time in our care.

Providing respite care for children with varying disabilities:
My duties included:
- Taking the children on days out whilst ensuring their safety.
- Attending toilet duties.
- Preparing their lunches and snacks.
- Sometimes it was a challenge for me and it required a lot of a patience.
 
Nanny/Assistant:
My duties included:
- Getting the children ready for school.
- Preparing their lunches and snacks and light meals.
- Collecting them and dropping them to school and any clubs they may attend.
- Helping with any school work.
- Waking/putting child to sleep and bath time if necessary.
- Changing babies nappys and feeding them.

Babysitting:
My career in child care started 7 years ago when I worked as a babysitter for a local family, I would work weekends and some week days when required. I cared for 3 little girls, the youngest was born whilst I was the girls babysitter so I have cared for her since she was born.

My Qualifications

January 2022- LEVEL 3 Apprenticeship.
December 2017- Level 2 Apprenticeship for the Children & Young people’s workforce.
July 2017- Level 2 Human lifespan development: GRADE PASS.
July 2017- Level 2 Healthy living: GRADE PASS.

• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (net)
• Babysitting from £11.00 per hour

Negotiable depending on role.
