My name is Silvia and I’m the first-time mother of a lovely 5 weeks old baby girl. We are a family of three and both parents work fulltime. I’m currently on maternity leave and we’re looking for a childminder to care for our baby from October/November 2024 when I’ll go back to work and she will be 8/9 months old.
I’m Italian and my partner is British-Caribbean. We’ll raise our child as bilingual teaching her English and Italian.
Ideally I’d like few weeks of induction before I return to work for our baby to become familiar with the person who will be taking care of her. When I return to work I’ll be working only 3 days per week until January 2025, therefore I’d like someone available to accomodate more hours in the new year.
As much as I’d love to look after my own baby forever I also worked hard to build a career I love. We therefore look for someone who we can trust to leave our baby with whilst we continue to work passionately in our roles.
My Requirements
I’m planning on going back to work at the end of October 2024 and will need childcare for my baby full time on Wednesday and Thursday (8.30am to 5.30pm) and a shorter day on Friday (8.30am to 2.30pm).
Ideally we would like someone able to care for our baby on Tuesday (8.30am to 2.30pm) from January 2025 to offer continuity.
The childminder we’re looking for must be warm and child-focused, experienced, OFSTED registered and at least “good” rated, have up to date paediatric first aid training, DBS checked (and so any other adult living in the household) and with available references.
