About Me

I have previously worked in a nursery where I was located in the baby room which consists of babies aged 3 months-2 years. I am very comfortable around young babies and toddlers as I have always been around young children, from babysitting and working with children.

From a young age I had to look after my younger siblings, from that other people e.g my mother's friends would ask me to babysit their children. This has given me lots of experience with children and knowing the correct way to care for them.

Working in a nursery meant I had training and dealt with a large number of children, developing their needs through play and sensory items. I enjoy working with children the days are always different and exciting! I am flexible and can adapt to the parents needs and wants, I have no children of my own and I am available whenever needed, even at short notice. My role as a babysitter/nanny is very hands on I like to do a lot of activities with my children, activities that are fun and colourful my favourite activity is messy play, this really allows the child to explore the activity without limitations as it is child led. They get to use their different senses and it can really help further develop their senses as they grow.
I believe reading to a child is very important, it helps to develop their verbal communication and it gives me a chance to really become a character and bring the words to life. I previously trained to become an actress so putting on a performance is fun and exciting to me.
In addition I have experience in bath and bed time, I like to stick to the parents routine to ensure that there is no confusion with the child when it come to me carrying out this routine, instead of the parents.

Unfortunately I have just finished working with my family of 3 years, I absolutely loved working with them and caring for their little boy. The main role I have as a nanny is to provide a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment in which the children thrive and develop. General responsibilities include undertaking tasks related to the child’s care (e.g., dishes, laundry, etc.), driving the children to and from activities.
While working my role included feeding, weaning, potty training, bathing, child and adult led activities, playdates, attending children centre, outdoor play, nappy changing and putting the child to sleep.

I have an enhanced DBS and Paediatric first aid.

Additionally, I have references who can be contacted if needed.
