My name is Yasmin, I’m 28, a bubbly, fun young lady with a constant smile on my face.
I enjoy the creative arts, making and creating, snow sports, interior design, music and dancing. I also think there’s nothing better than hunting down quirky pieces of furniture that you can up-cycle and turn into something amazing. When trying to relax I like watching movies, dog walking, hiking, travelling and getting out in the fresh air.
My Experience
I have lots of childcare experience, starting from when I was thirteen years old and we had a change in our family circumstances. As result of this I supported my mum and took a major share in all aspects of my little sister’s care (she was four at the time). I would pick her up from school, cook dinners, take her out, help with homework, anything I possibly could to help my mum and for this we have such a special bond.
During my time at school I studied Health and Social care and part of the course was a voluntary placement. I worked with children at an after-school club and had the responsibility of teaching the children nutrition and how to prepare healthy snacks.
On visits abroad when I was young, I experienced a range of childrens’ clubs and I wanted the challenge of running my own. I applied and was accepted to work for a company abroad completing three summer seasons across Europe. This experience expanded my skills as I learnt time management, detailed planning, how to work independently and as a team member. I was able to adapt quickly to change and emerging situations as my next step enabled me to expand my role with children and to follow my passion for winter sports as I took a position as an au pair in the French Alps. I enjoyed caring for two boys, aged three and seven, in a family setting. My work was appreciated and I was able to follow the children’s development as I was employed for another two seasons after.

- I am a Graphic design graduate from UWE.
- I have GSCE's in Maths, English, Science, RE, French and Design Technology
