My Name is Gillian.
I am Ofsted registered since November 2019 and I am level 3 home-based childminder living in Coventry. I have a little girl who is six years old and I’m an auntie to sixteen nieces and nephews, not including my great nieces and nephews - big family!
I have a lot of love for children and committed to providing a high standard of childcare. I’m also very passionate in helping all children grow emotionally, physically and educationally.
I offer a home from home safe, warm and friendly environment for all little ones to play, grow, learn and develop in every area.
I have a good size indoor space for all kind of play and also a lovely outdoor space which includes playhouse, slide, sandpit, chalk board, mud kitchen, bird feeder and much more!
Where possible I like to get out into the community with the children to local libraries, parks, playgroups, walks, shops, woodland walks/trails, outings/day trips and Exploring anything nature.
A family member keeps home chickens and very often we will visit, care, feed and clean their coupe. We get outdoors most days whatever the weather.

I follow the EYFS standards plus I have a wide range of recourses to help children develop in the 7 key areas of learning.
I’m always actively looking to increase my knowledge and keeping up to date by attending relevant training and webinars.
I work along side my assistant who joined Gilly Bee's Day Care June 2021 - Christine settled in great and completed her safeguarding course; Prevent Duty Training, Paediatric first aid training, Level 2 in basic life support and management of Anaphylaxis and has an Enhanced DBS.
Christine also strengthens opportunities for continuous professional development by attending relevant training and webinars.

My daughter has been going to Gilly and Crisse for quite a while now and I wouldn’t want her going anywhere else!! Both Gilly and Crisse are so loving and have a genuine passion in providing the best childcare. They have the most amazing, adventurous, special days out planned for the little ones and my daughter has come on leaps and bounds since being at Gilly Bee’s.

My husband and I cannot recommend Gilly Bees daycare enough! The care and devotion that my little Felicity- Rose gets is fantastic. We feel so happy and safe leaving her in the trusted care of Gilly and Crisse.
Our daughter has come on in leaps and bounds since attending Gilly Bees at the age of ten months and it’s beautiful to see.
Gilly and Crisse always plan fun, educational activities for all of the children in their care and treat them as though they are family.
A wonderful childminder’s that will not disappoint!

We are so lucky to have Gilly & Crisse as the amazing childminders for our daughter. Viewing lots of places there was never an instinct of “love this setting” until I walked into Gilly’s home. Seeing the children playing so relaxed and happy in an obviously warm environment made it the place I wanted. And since Lily started it’s been obvious that it was the right choice. They’ve been amazing at settling her in and supporting her with her language development in particular. We can leave her there and know she’s safe and cared for with the same security as when we leave her with family. They do so many activities, and go so many places, it’s helped her come on leaps and bounds. We’re so glad we got a space with them!!

Gilly and Crisse really are amazing, they have not just looked after our Nancy for the past 3 years, but have loved, cared and educated her as their own. Every day is filled with happiness, fun and adventure which has absolutely made Nancy who she is today. To say we are thankful and cherish them both, is an under statement and I don't think we can really articulate how amazing we think they are. We are genuinely gutted to have Nancy leave their care and this is a true testament to how much we have valued them looking Nancy, but she is starting reception in September so must happen ha. We cant recommend Gilly Bees enough and any child that joins them is genuinely lucky to be a part of such a wonderful setting. Finding the right people to look after your babies is a tough decision to make but I would say if you choose to send your child to Gilly Bees you will not be disappointed and, like I have been, be prepared to be amazed to see how many different places, experiences and adventures little people can be involved in on a weekly basis. While we are very sad to be leaving Gilly Bees in September, we are thankful for the time Nancy has had with them and been given the best start ❤️

Gilly and Crisse have been looking after my son for 1.5 years and I couldn't ask for a better childcare setting. Stan is always so excited to see Gilly and Crisse, and to play with the other boys and girls. They always do little crafts to celebrate mothers day etc and Stan has been to lots of lovely places with Gilly Bees. I love that they use the train and the bus and give children different experiences. We always get lots of photos and messages at the end of each day to update us on how Stan got on which is really reassuring.
We are so happy to be able to send Stan to Gilly Bees!

Gilly & Crisse are amazing in so many ways, they love your child like its there own but so professional and amazing all at the same time, Aria has been with them since 13 months old and thrived leaps and bounds since, we couldnt ask for better we knew from 1st day of meeting them what amazing and beautiful people they are. Thanks ladies for everything for letting us parents work and have peace of mind our child is well looked after and cared for so much ❤️ Xx

My daughter has been going to Gilly Bees since September 2022 and we feel so lucky to have found Gilly and Crisse.
They both take incredible care of my daughter and share regular updates and photos of their activities from the day, which is lovely to see. The focus on outdoor play means my daughter gets to experience so much more than being in a traditional childcare setting with regular trips to museums, parks, soft plays and local playgroups, which is fantastic.
I appreciate the effort Gilly Bees go into to raise awareness of important days throughout the year, taking the time to talk to children about Diwali, Remembrance Day, Eid etc. and enjoy hearing my daughter tell me all about it when she gets home.
I truly cannot recommend Gilly and Crisse enough, they are amazing in every way and really do provide fantastic experiences for little ones! We are so grateful to have found friendly, nurturing and engaging childminders who genuinely care for my daughters wellbeing :)

I HUGELY recommend Gilly Bees Day Care. Gilly and her assistant, Crisse, looked after my little boy on a weekly basis. There was regular communication and end of day photos of the lovely trips and activities he’d been taking part in. I have 100% trust in both Gilly and Crisse to look after my son. They both ensured that he had eaten when in their care and supported him also from an educational perspective going above and beyond to help his progress. Two very caring and considerate individuals who put the children’s needs at the heart of what they do - thank you :)
