Hi, my name is Lauren and I am 30 years old, married and living in York, available for babysitting, and willing to offer private tutoring for primary school. I am a mature, caring, fun and lively individual with my own transport and willingness to travel up to 10 miles from my home.

I have a diploma in Counselling Children and Adolescents so have a good understanding of children's behaviour. I have also completed my Level 3 Certificate in Childcare through my employer.

My Experience
In the year following my graduation I undertook some supply teaching, ranging from Reception to Year 6 and everything in between! I also have experience in working with children with special needs as part of this, including individualised support in a classroom setting. I have partaken in a work-based placement in an educational setting outside of school, so learning outside of the family home is also a possibilty - learning can be done anywhere!
I currently work in a nursery school so have a good experience in working with children under 5, (ranging from 6 months to 5 years old) including their daily care and nappy changing. I am based in the preschool room so have extensive experience with 3-5 year olds.
My Qualifications
2:1 BA (Hons.) in Primary Education with QTS - York St. John University, July 2010
Diploma in Counselling Children and Adolescents
Training in Child Protection and Health and Safety.
Extensive knowledge of Every Child Matters
Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene for Catering

I am currently unavailable due to caring for my 2 year old.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
Fees to be negotiated for babysitting, however standard is £9 per hour.
3 or more children will be charged at £10 per hour.
Any time after 12:00am will cost + £1 per hour.

We have 2 children age 9 and 10. Lauren has babysat for us about half a dozen times so far.
She is reliable, professional and we feel completely comfortable to leave our children in her care. She is very willing that play games with them and also able to be firm when it’s time for bed. We are completely happy with her services and would recommend her without hesitation.

Thank you so much, I always have a lovely time when visiting your family and it's great to play games with them.
Lauren helped us with 4 kids (two 7 year olds, one 4 year old and one 2 year old) at my daughter's wedding at Castle Howard. She was amazing, the kids loved her. She was so good with them. This is a pretty big place so we wanted to make sure they were safe and they were looked after. She couldn't have been better, she was there at all times, making sure they had fun but were not too "crazy". I would recommend highly Lauren to babysit any time. It's too bad we live in the USA because I know we would be calling her all the time.

Thank you so much for the kind feedback, I had a lovely time helping at the wedding and felt very included in the celebrations. The children were wonderful to look after and I'd love to send a postcard sometime!
Lauren started babysitting for my little boy a few months ago - he felt at ease with her really quickly and now gets excited for her visits!! Lauren is super reliable and organised and is very communicative by text when I am out, which gives so much peace of mind. Highly recommended! :-)
