About Me
I am a 'GOOD' rated Ofsted Registered childminder in the Burntwood area. I am 33 years of age and have a 6 year old son. We live in a semi detached house in a quiet road right by a large park and beautiful gardens, along with my partner of 13 years, Craig and our Cockapoo Lyla. We have accommodated a large indoor space for children to play and learn within the home, with access to a downstairs bathroom and we are lucky enough to have a large back garden also.
I am extremely outgoing and somewhat a social butterfly. I would class myself as a sensitive soul and I am extremely passionate about my work, family and our pooch, Lyla. And not forgetting, an absolute foodie!
My Experience
I have worked in childcare ever since leaving secondary school in 2005! (Wow!) I attended college to complete both my level 2 and 3 in Childcare, which is where my experience started. I attended a local nursery for my placement and at the end of the year, they offered me a job. I worked at this nursery for 8 years until all staff were made redundant due to closure. I had 2 job interviews on my first day on unemployment and started full time work the following day! This is where I worked for the next 7 years, completing my Early Childhood Studies course at Stafford Univeristy and working my way up from a practitioner to room leader, to a senior role and then finally assistant manager. It was only when I had my own son and returned to work that the thought of becoming a childminder crossed my mind. I realised I could still do the job I adored, whilst also spending time with my own child. That's when my application went in to Ofsted and just a short time after and a very intense pre-registration visit, I became an Ofsted Registerd Childminder!
My Qualifications
In 2015 I graduated from Staffordshire University with a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies which equates to Level 5 Childcare. To comply with the requirements of my Ofsted Registration it is a must that I hold and retain certain up to date training, these are as follows:
-Safeguarding Level 2
-Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate
I also hold a Full DBS check.
Further training that I have chosen to undertake to support my job role are:
-Food Hygiene
-Further safeguarding training about recognising different types of abuse, FGM, County Lines, Prevent and safer sleeping.
-Communication in the first years.
-Covid Training

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I charge £5.00 an hour at present.
I charge £5.50 an hour for school wrap around care
