About Me
My name is Celia. I am a mother to a one-year-old little girl and a former outstanding primary school teacher. I want to give all the children that attend my setting all the love, fun and nourishment they need to be happy. I’d like parents/carers to feel supported through this process (because I do understand how difficult this experience can be!) and be comforted in knowing that their child is receiving just as much care as they would receive at home and getting a wonderful early year’s education and having fun while doing it.
Little Honeybees is a nurturing, bright, and welcoming space where children are at the centre of everything we do. We’re a home away from home where, in small groups, children have plenty of individual time and attention which allows us to support their developmental growth.
The Honeybees will take part in daily activities such as Sensory Play, Messy Play, Outdoor play, Arts & Crafts, Musical Play, Yoga, Exercise, Story time, Role Play, Life Skills, Cooking and so much more. All of this is to provide your child with rich learning opportunities, develop self-expression, promote independence, and encourage exploration and curiosity through play.
We’re located near EL1 and EL3 bus stops and the Barking Riverside Overground. We are also a 5 minute walk from George Carey Church of England Primary School. I provide school drop-offs and pick-ups and I am quite flexible, so please do ask if you have any queries.
My Experience
As a former primary school teacher of 8 years, I have plenty of experience with children all the way from nursery age through to Year 6. I enjoyed every moment of teaching, but after having my daughter I have become so amazed by the development of children and would love to be a part of that amazing journey for these amazing little children.
My Qualifications
BSc Cognitive Neuroscience
PGCE at the Institute of Education
Paediatric First Aid
DBS Cleared
Trained in Food Hygiene, Safe Sleep, EYFS, Safeguarding
Level 3 Nutrition for children
Personal Trainer Qualification
My Availability
Flexible - please feel free to ask me whatever you need and we can see what will work best for you and us :)
If you need 4 days apart from a different day, please let me know as I am willing to change the Friday off to another day depending on the demand.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
Included in my fees is everything including high quality care, all meals and snacks will be provided, educational activities daily, outdoor activities daily and much more.

Celia! She is amazing! In the short time that I used her (we've only stopped due to location and logistics for us), she made our daughter feel safe and that had to come first. Her home is calm and neutral colours, which really helped our daughter with not being over stimulated.
The activities which she set up in the short time showed me her teacher experience, it's so obvious that she thought hard about this. My daughter especially loved the physical play activities and came out of her shell even more when drawing and building, I think Celia has helped her with this.
All of the activities that she set up helped my daughter as she learned to play and Celia really took the time to listen to what my daughter would want and need, when she spoke for ages on the phone, to me as a parent! I'm so grateful she took the time to listen. Thank you so much for this Celia.
Her home is spotless. I had no concerns. Because of it being on the ground floor and it letting lots of light in, I felt even more that my daughter was in a safe and airy space, not something I found when looking for a childminder so this really made me feel secure.
When I contacted Celia about my daughter's wellbeing and activities she was doing, she sent me pictures and detailed updates of her, which was really good to see. She was so happy with Celia being around her, honestly melts my heart.
I couldn't recommend Celia as a childminder, anymore!

Celia was fantastic and trustworthy with both my children. She made sure to create a fun environment, where my children were able to express themselves. Celia helped prepare my children for school by doing activities, that were creative, fun and most of all educational. My children loved being under her care, they would run in with excitement everytime they saw her. Seeing their reactions everytime , made it easy for me to believe and trust that I was leaving them in good hands. It was basically a second home for my children.

My son had a wonderful time with Celia and her little girl. They played and did so many activities which were tailored to his preferences. For example, he loves playing with vehicles so they set up a tuff tray with diggers etc for him to play with and he loved it!
