About Me
Hi! I'm Rachel. I have two children of my own, an 8 year old boy and a 6 year old girl.
Since having my first child I've loved watching him grow and develop. After having my second I decided that teaching at secondary school wasn't working for me. I made the decision to leave my job and train as a childminder.
I love taking children out for trips to the park, nature reserves, beach, museum, walk around the docks, through the woods, on any adventure. I love to see them learn and enjoy new experiences.
My Experience
I was a food technology teacher for 10 years so I have plenty of experience of healthy eating, food preparation, food hygiene and helping children learn. I have experience of allergies, and have a peanut free house (my partner is severely allergic).
My Qualifications
I completed the pre-registration training with Lancashire County Council.
I have paediatric first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding training.
My Availability
I currently have space available on Tuesdays and Fridays. I will have more availability from September 2024.
