About Me

Hello Families,

I am a fully trained Early Years Practitioner with 17 years experience working with children. I love being outdoors & I am passionate about protecting the environment. I am a big fan of dogs too!

My last job was in Audlem as a Nanny for 3 children. I now have a baby of my own who is 8 months old and I'd like to find a family who would welcome us both. Alternatively, I could get care for my son 1 day a week.

Previous to this I was lived in London for 6 years as a Nanny. My partner & I have relocated back to Cheshire where I originally grew up on a fruit farm in Kelsall.

I was previously a Pre-School teacher. I have a Level 3 in Children & Young People's Workforce, a Level 2 in Working with People with Learning

Accomplishments

Communication & Language - I have made an impact on the way the children communicate & the variety of ways they can do so. The boys now both use their manners & are able to communicate their needs clearly & politely.

Physical Development - I provide the boys with daily activities to enhance their physical development. Alongside providing them with healthy meals & snacks we are active every day. This usually entails playing at the park, riding scooters, playing football or dancing in the living room on rainy days. I also do physiotherapy with the youngest boy.

Personal, Social & Emotional Development - The boys have solid friendships which have come from playdates we attend. Most days we are with their friends after & they both have their own network inside & outside of school. The boys can both communicate their emotional needs & have a clear understanding of what is right & wrong. They are empathetic & have a good understanding of their own & others emotional needs. I talk with them about feelings & emotions and explain the impact of their actions on others.

Literacy - I provide daily activities for the boys to improve their literacy. We read & write daily. I also incorporate literacy into games so they learn through play. The older ones are particularly keen on fact books. The youngest loves picture books and naming the animals & objects.

Mathematics - I incorporate Maths into every aspect of play everyday. Using techniques like sorting objects, counting, shapes, basic subtraction. These things come second nature when making play about learning as well as having fun. The eldest is constantly coming up with his own maths problems!

Understanding the World - The boys are highly involved within the local community. We live in a diverse area and the boys are keen to learn about cultural differences. We look at maps of the world & talk about what animals live there & what languages people speak. We talk about technology & the different ways in which things work eg) Electricity, fuel, the body.

Expressive Arts & Design - We are constantly making & doing. The boys especially love my home made play dough. I love imaginative role play & understand the benefits it has on a child's development.

Previously I was a Pre-School teacher so I have brought all my experience & knowledge with me to this role. This combined with my natural love & care for the children has meant this has been a successful relationship not only with the boys but the parents also.
